I gave Jackie Joyner-Kersee a 5 because she has led the way in a women's uprising. She has brought hope in society, making it possible for a woman to accomplish goals and achieve dreams.

It was strange not seeing her in the 2000 Summer Olympics this year. When you hear Olympics, and track, one naturally thinks of her.

I say that she is one of the best African American female runners, sprinters, javelin throwers, and long jump athletes. I gave her a 5 because she is excellent. I think that she puts a lot of effort into what she does.

The former best female athlete in the world. She just got too old to compete.

For many years, JJK held the unofficial title as the best all-around female athlete in the world and she doesn't have to look up to anyone else on the list of all-time woman's track and field athletes. Not only was she tremendous at the heptathalon (the female equivalent of the decathlon), but she was the best long jumper in the world.
