most overated tennis player of all time, a great man, but only good as a player, certainly not great, the record shows it.

A maverick in every way this was one man whose "class" no one can ever touch!

Certainly one of the players with the most class, but probably not in the top 10 for skill.

With Arthur Ashe, let's forget about tennis, even tho this is supposedly rating his talent level. He gets a 5 from me because of the kind of human being he was. A great man..wish I could give him a 55!

A class act and a true ambassador to tennis. Very good player but is more famous for being an activist for social change. Ashe was one of the few activists who I never found to be obnoxious and/or militant. Such a refined, dignified man.

Arthur Ashe was a nice guy and showed he had a lot of class,but he didn't win enough should not even be in the top 20.He is way overrated.

Had a great impact on the game as the first black champion-- but did not win enough to be ranked as high as he is here.

Arthur Ashe had the incredible combination of feel, technique and mental strength.
