Great player to watch. But very underaccomplished. One grand slam singles title doesn't merit such a high ranking in this poll.

sabatini is that typical example for a player with bad luck. her bad luck was competing at that time graf was the dominating player. in 1985 she was the youngest ever player to reach a french open semi final. she was surely on of the most giftet players of their generation. and all seemed to be prepared for a extraordinary career. how often it was just graf who stood between her and some more major titles? often very close. she lost the 88 olympics in three sets. also in the us open final, when graf took the grand slam. she lost in wimbledon 10:8 in the final set to graf in 1991. she was the hardest rival to graf before seles came up. who isnt remembering these close close battles? grafs forehand and backhand-slice versus sabatinis topspin-style. she was the only player who tried always to find something new for defeating steffi. she produced these high moon-balls on grafs backhand. or she attacked graf with chip and charge. i m remembering a period where graf wasnt able to beat her for a pretty nice row of tournaments. somtimes numbers dont tell it all. she had this bad luck but: she was a great player at all.

Gorgeous woman and a very talented player. Had she applied herself as carefully to the game as she did her makeup she would have won no telling how many tournaments. Oh well, she's probably got enough money to not even care.

Gaby is a great entertainer. She made me tune in, read the sports page, and go to her matches. She was excitement. Anyway, everybody talks about her beauty, but I am not the type of person to find her sexy. Instead, I found her game exciting, her heart warm and her soul all-inspiring. Remember, she did win 1 US Open, reach the Wimbledon final, and win 2 world championships. Also, she beat Graf more than any other champion. One big smile and strong vote for one dear entertainer.

I always liked Gabi but i must admit this was more to do with her relative good looks than her actual achievements,so she's a bit fortunate to get 2 stars from me.She doesn't really belong in such exalted company,i'm sorry to say.

Good player but never went far enough. She doesn't belong on this list, or at least not ont he same list as Martina, Evert, Graf, and well actually just those three. King wasn't really very good she just beat a really old bad player in a very public match but I don't think that's enough to be with those three. Sabatini and Celes are insufficient data in my opinion.

I have always been a big fan of Gabriela. The combination of the force with which she hit the ball, her graceful athleticism, and pouting sensuality made her really, really sexy. And she was a great player as well - though probably could have been better with more dedication.

Her talent and looks were always overrated.
