You know, it took me a couple of hours after he left to realize how overpriced this service is. They charged$82.00 for a part that sells for $24 and then charged $179.00 for labor. All tolled, $260 for 30 minutes work! Shame on them!

Nightmare experience in Orange County. My new refrigerator was under warranty - less than 20 days from date of delivery & needed a service call for uneven doors which was noted upon delivery.Allen & Sons tech - Zack came out and did nothing. Told me the seal would fix itself or he would come back out and "heat it up" so it would even out. If not =just call Allen & Sons back out...famous last words.Zack's fix sounded untrue & after a call to Whirpool, they said no, Allen & Sons are order a new gasket & will be back out in 7 business days. Nine business days later I call and the whole story changes. Greg (I think) said no, nothing wrong with refrigerator per Zack's note and they are not going to fix a thing. Even offered to send digital pictures of problem, yet this "repair" company are unwilling to review. Why would I want to waste another day waiting for these guys and make this up? What have I to gain? Nothing, except a properly fixed refrig.Being called a liar by a tech is not fun. Being told tough luck, is not fun either. Good news is since refrigortaor is under warranty still, I get a new one from place of purchase. Waiting around for Allen & Sons company to do nothing, mislead me and then lie to me/about me, not so fun. Do not call this place for service, their story changes according to profit level. Shame on you Allen & Sons.

DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR SERVICE! My freezer door was frosting up and the freezer was purchased in 2004. The problem was with the rubber edging. It took literally 10 visits for them to figure it out and the repair was so shotty that it couldn't be fixed properly even after multiple tries. We ended up having to buy a whole new door to our freezer, which was not cheap. They did have one guy, Sean, who actually knew what he was doing, but he has since left this company. Apparently it's a crap shoot as to whether they'll send someone with experience or someone who is in training. Don't chance it! Moreover, they are remarkabley rude to deal with, especially manager Greg -- totally passive aggressive.

Yesterday your company sent a gentleman to repair my Subzero refrigerator. He was very professional, considerate of my property and helped me to contact the manufacturer for the repair. I am putting your company in my address book and plan to only call you in the future! Thank you for your professionalism.

My fridge stopped working 2 days before x-mas eve. I had scheduled an appointment between 8am & 12 with another company the day before x-mas eve but they never showed up and were less than helpful. At noon that day I called Allen and Sons thinking there was no way they would be able to get someone out in time for x-mas. The girl I spoke to said they could be out within a couple of hours! The tech showed up earlier than expected, knew what the problem was right away and was able to fix it within 30 mins! These guys were professional, courteous, kind and made my day much happier. The price was reasonable too:-) I would recommend them to any of my friends in the future. Thanks Allen & Sons!

We had two appliances that broke at the same time, a dishwasher and a microwave. They came over to assess these and order parts. They came back to do the repairs, but were only able to repair one of the appliances. One week later they returned to repair the other appliance. They failed to reassemble the microwave back together completely, and then when they asked for payment they tried to raise the price from what was originally quoted. After some arguing, they agreed to accept the originally quoted amount. After one week of the repair of the microwave, it again malfunctioned. I contacted them to come back. I scheduled an appointment and they called to confirm the appt two times the day prior. I called back to reconfirm. My husband waited at home all day and they never showed up. Turns out they left me a message on my cell phone at and b/c I didn't return their call to again reconfirm their appointment they just didn't show up. I called back to spoke with the manger to request a refund. I spoke with a secretary who confirmed a refund would be issued to me within 2 weeks. They I requested a call from a manager directly to confirm this, and when he called back he stated this was not true and that they can not refund my money. He then proceeded to become very confrontational over the phone, still refusing to request a refund. So after 4 visits, we are out $135 and our microwave still does not work.

This company is awful. Beyond awful if at all possible. We called them to come look at our washer/dryer combo. The technician was here less than 10 minutes. Said he knows what is wrong, and he will have to order the parts. That was 3 weeks ago. I have called them over 9 times to find out where the parts are. Everytime I call, someone tells me, "oh we will call you right back". No call back yet. They also overcharge for parts and labor. They told me that the parts we need will total $89.99 and labor is $189.99. I found the parts for $15.00 on a Maytag Parts website. This was a terrible experience and has made me very leary to trust any appliance place.

So my gas dryer had no heat on 6/5/2008 and I called Allen & Sons Appliance Repair and was told they could come look at it for free and if I didn't want them to fix it, the charge would only be $29.99. Here is the catch, if you decide not to have them fix it, they will not tell you what is wrong with your appliance. So needing my dryer repaired in a hurry I bent over and had them fix it. Get this, I was charged, $192.89 including labor for a fuse and thermostat that I later looked up on the internet using the part number on the old parts the repairman left behind and the total cost with shipping for both parts combined was $24. The repairman was here for 15 minutes, so that works out to a labor rate of $771.56 an hour! and get this, included in the $192.89 was a $6 surcharge I didn't catch when I paid the bill. Do not trust these guys, they will put you in a position to choose between being charged $30 for them just walking in your door ($45 for certain appliances) and then force an outrageous fee on you if you have them fix your appliance. I understand you are paying for their labor and knowlege but for parts that cost $24 and a repair that took less than 15 minutes from their arrival to departure, this is fraud. You have been warned! Call someone else. Allen & sons appliance repair are cheats

Yesterday my GE refrigerator water valve broke and my floor was flooded. After searching the web. I scheduled an appointment for the same day service. I call 9.30 a.m. And you guys arrived the same day 11.00 a.m. Unbelievable! I will be recommending your service to everyone I know.

Zero stars, or less. Company seems to have changed owners or management. Based on a friend's recommendation, we called them about three months ago to repair the display panel on our oven. They did not want the make or model, saying their repairman would have the right parts when he came (the psychic repairman?); he did not. They wanted over $700 to fix it, and a week to order the parts, so we said no. Found someone else who did the job on time for under $300, including the cost of the new display. Later Allen sent us a bill for $35.00, saying they had to pay their guy to come out, and it was rude of us to call him out and not use him. I paid it, just to keep from dealing with them ad infinitum; still pondering complaint to the BBB. A pox on their house.

I have a three year old washing machine that broke down a month ago. Allen and Sons has taken my $250.00 to repair, but they still haven't fixed it!! Their work is not guaranteed like their ad mentions. They are dishonest, won't return calls, and have incompetent repairmen.

During the last year I experienced several problems with my washing machine. After calling many companies, with no success, I ended up calling Allen & Sons. Hallelujah! They fixed it on the same day, and even gave me a five-year warranty. Great service, I was very happy!
