Sorry for the additional message guys, but a personal note to lightfinger2000 who's consitant ignorance baffles me. First off, as a heel(a villain wrestler in case you are unfamiliar with the term) his manager was Captain Lou Albano. if you ask me a real asshole. did you not see his battles with roddy piper?

over rated.I remember when he was a u.s champion and a bad guy with a beard.I think his manager was shiek al akbar he was a better performer as a bad guy.He didn't showcase much in the 80s except for his amazing superfly.

Met Jimmy Sept. 24, 2004. Great, laid back guy, every other word out of his mouth was brother. Even though he's getting up in years, he still gave us the splash and the crowd went nuts. Kudos to Main Event Promotions in Canton OH for booking this legend. Jimmy, Rock ON!!

Snuka got me into WWF Wrestling. His cage matches were bloody, high flying spectacles.

Su-su superfly! He's the one who got the high-flying wrestling going. One of the most classic matches in wrestling history is his match in a cage at Madison Square Garden vs Don Muraco circa 1983.

Even though jumping from the top rope isn't much a feat to today's standards. His Superfly leap is one of the most popular finishers of all time! I'd rather watch snuka do the superfly than watch juventud guerrera flip a million times in the air off the top.

Although his superfly leap is considered tame by today's standards, during Snuka's era it was unequaled. Fans loved to see the Superfly leap from the top rope and slam down onto his prone opponent. Snuka certainly is a wrestling legend.

When I was a kid and a complete wrestling fanatic, Jimmy Snuka was the best. I remember him vying for the Intercontinental Belt, steel cage matches, and of course that great athleticism of his, jumping over guys and, of course, the "Superfly!" I finally got to see him live about three years ago, and I have to say, he didn't age well. He looked terrible, got kicked around the ring for about ten minutes, landed a couple of punches, and did his Superfly to end the match. The guy he beat got right up and left the ring, while Snuka laid on the canvas about three minutes. It was sad to see this once great reduced to this, but I'll never forget what he was, despite what he is. I mean, hey, Reggie Jackson probably couldn't hit a home run if he tired right now, but does that take away from his career? Nope. And it doesn't take away from my rating of Snuka. He was the best!

In '83 Jimmy was McMahon's pick as his next big superstar and was ready to put the title on him until Snuka tried to beat his girlfriend to death durring a drug filled rage and his subsequent arrest (she in fact did die) burried him to the mid card for the rest of his career. And in stepped a new recruit from the AWA who had flopped miserably in his first WWF run named Hogan and the cartoonish fiasco that made wrestling more popular than ever while simultaneously nearly killing it forever began. Damnit Superfly!! It was while watching Jimmy dive off the top of a cage that Mick Foley decided to become a wrestler though so he did contribute to reviving the sport later as well. The fued with Piper in '84 was ***** and I always loved the way he flipped out when he saw his own blood. Great worker.

Alright people, I write this review as an avid anti-wrestling activist but I must admit that at one point I did actually follow wrestling. And I'm glad we no longer have to look at this over-sized hairy man in his women's underwear. Anyway check out this cheaply made tribute to the guy http://brian3493.boltpages.com/bwi/id12.html

Who among us didn't spend his childhood leaping from the top bunk bed onto his little brother just like "Superfly" ? (Or maybe I had a troubled childhood.)
