As a worker, he was okay, at best. But he drew money for a limited period of time and seems to have managed it wisely.

Warrior was completely overrated as a wrestler, but he had a good character which is why i liked him. i disrepect him because he had no respect for the business and just wanted to get his money.

Overrated as a wrestler and a racist, misogynist, homophobic bigot of the worse kind outside of the ring. Using him as a Young Republican speaker is low even for the Greedy Oil Puritans.

A poor performer!! Did have the potential to wrestle what you may call a passable match, but usually he was cringingly tedious. Only rose to fame because Vince liked guys with those physiques. I understand he now spends most of his time touring University Cumpus sites making right-wing speeches which as a socialist does'nt do anything for me either.

Any one rating this guy better than a single star is obviously raised on hulkamainia circus wrestling.True he could entertain, but so could a circus strongman and the dogface boy but like those acts everything about this idiot was rigged. From his days as the Dingo Warrior to his later incarnations he served the same purpose as the likes of Hillbilly Jim and Uncle Elmer.Though I suspect Warrior fans rated them 5 stars too.

YA know ya laugh at these people who say Warrior HAd no moves. He was not a technical wrestler, he was not a grappler or even a luchador style he was a powerful wrestler relying on his body strength rather than techinical moves, he was a fighter not a wrestler, the gorilla press slam, and the Splash Pin were good moves.. knocking the wind out of the opponent made them vulnerable for a pin. Wrestling wasnt just about the moves. Image counted to, you tell me a wrestler who had greater intensity than the Warrior and ill show you a dog with three peckers because there was none at his time, his "incoherent babblings" yea take time to listen and he was forewarning his opponents of the danger before them, he used big words yes and he talked as if from a scribe.. part of the image, he was truly great and no one should say otherwise if you stop and look at what he did and his accomplishments, he struck the imagination and attention of children with his intensity and his vivid colors. Think About It.

WOW, where do I start? I have to admit Wrestlemania VI... Hogan vs. Warrior was one of the best matches ever, but he didn't have any wrestling skills at all. He was a 'roided freak. He was obviously a @sshole. If you have read any extended articles about him, you would know that. He came back to the wrestling business in WcW about 6-7 years ago and started another feud with Hogan. I think that lasted about a month? He also started oWn (One Warrior Nation). Boy, that went over well. Jeesh, thank god this poster child for steriods is gone!

The Greatest bar none.... This statement only fits one Wrestler and that is The Ultimate One. I have read the posts on this site and some say he lacked in wrestling skills,,,, balderdash............ Steroids ,,, I wonder where Hogan, Luger, or even Macho not to mention a hundred others got the big Guns..Check the old pictures of the other wrestlers here on line. I have... Warrior was my favorite will be my favorite and is my favorite.... Hulkamania is dead... Warrior lives on and on and on.......

the greatest what he lacked in ring ability he made up with excitement. If if u werent a warrior fan u must admit u was happy to see him return at wm 8 to save hogan.Wrestling is fake and warrior sold seats thats the bottom line.WM 6 was the highest selling wrestling ppv ever. Only man who beat Hogan clean , won the IC belt in 28 seconds, and held both crowns at the same time.He was so popular it was mindboggling. His one downfall was his dissapearances but I must admit WWF should have kept him as a main eventer instead of pushing lex luger because in 1993 wwf sucked.Warrior rarely lost a match .In his era you didnt have 2 be the greatest technically but that era had tru gimmicks unlike now.He was almost as large as hulkamania but if he had the mike skills hogan had he would have even went higher than he was.My favorite wrestler ever

The Warrior was the main reason I became a wrestling fan back in the late 80's. His intensity was nothing short of awesome and he had the best entrance music of all time. His matches vs Hogan at WM6 and Savage at WM7 are two of the greatest ever. He was screwed out of a longer career by Vince McMahon and later by Hogan (who was pulling all the strings at the time) in WCW. Check out the No 1 Warrior tribute site on the net @ www.warriorcentral.net Warrior 4evr!

Vince loved guys who had a great physique and the right look, thus Warrior was given a run as champ. The problem with Warrior was his 4 move repetoire and his incoherent interviews that bordered on outright babbling. His run as champ drew poorly, and he was a huge headache behind the scenes. In total, he was probably the 2nd worst WWF champ in history, behind Diesel.

The single worst joke in sports entertainment history. The mindset it takes to enjoy watching this guy explains why Dude, Where's My Car? made a profit. Possibly the worst technical wrestler in history and his rambling promos are an artform of unintelligent verbal diarhea.

no one does or ever will have the intensity of the ultimate one, these fary wrestlers today cant compare in anyway shape or form. the warrior gave a hundred and ten percent of his self in and out of the ring, how many of todays stars can you say that about, to compare warrior to today stars is a complete insult to the man. i know the warriors are in this forum i can see where they have been,, as for all the others, well aparently the comprehension of the man known as the warrior is abit out of your legue,, this one to the warriors,, always believe,, and let non believers feel the power....

This guy was a steroid sack with face paint. Hey I loved him too, when I was 12. Come on now, this guy had no wrestling ability & his best mic work revolved around grunts & snorts. His back stage antics got him canned from WWF how many times?? 2? 3? Not even a run in WCW could make this guy look good. He should send Vince a Thank You card every week for getting him out of the gym & making him a star.

The Warrior is my favorite wrestler, but I admit that he as a weak performer in the ring. His wild antics and persona are what sold him to the crowd. I know he is bit different in the head, but he was the epitome of a great character, which is extremely important for the entertainment value of professional wrestling.

Sure, he wasn't the most talented wrestler in the bunch, but in pro "wrestling", who is allowed to actually wrestle? No-one, because real wrestling is real: close-in grappling and not showy, you mugs. UW was revolutionary in "sports entertainment" with his pace and strength- who else have you ever seen gorilla press Hulk "legdrop" Hogan and rag-doll him around a ring? He may have been a 'roid monster but who in pro wrestling can you honestly say isn't on steroids and worse? I can think of only a few whose pysiques don't fit with the 'roid pattern- and it's all done to improve the show for you. The WWF had plenty of opportunity to train up UW if his "wrestling" skills weren't up to scratch, get him a "manager" because of his lousy promos and cut him some slack for family bereavement as regards his "no-shows". Vinnie Mac did the least costly thing in the situation and fired him, instead of straightening the guy out as he's done recently with Steve Austin. Check out UW's website- it does appear he's really flipped his lid, though what he's preaching isn't anything other than his own take on Bhuddism. It's just a reflection of both his strength of conviction in what he believes in- (be it training or morals) and probably the psychological effects of the pro-wrestling "lifestyle". Either that, or he's nuts. But it was great fun watching him, anyhoo, and I don't think we'll see him or his like again.

THE MAN WAS GREAT, HE WAS IMPRESSIVE, ELECTRIFING AND JUST MIND BLOWING. EVERYTIME I HEARD HIS ENTRANCE SONG I JUST FELT ALL THIS ENERGY RUNNING THROUGH MY VAINS. THE MAN WAS A "GOD" HE WILL FOR EVER BE # 1

It really makes me mad when people put the warrior down and say that he was terrible. Yeah, he may have been terrible as far as actual wrestling is concerned. But I guarantee you that there has never been anyone in wrestling history that could electrify an audience with just actions. The way that he used to run down to the ring and shake the ropes, it got the fans on their feet like nobody else could, including the Rock. In order to have a great wrestling promotion, you have to have guys with great technical ability and you have to have your guys with great intensity. Wrestling fans like a mixture of both. The Warrior was the best, as far as Intensity goes. To all you anti-Warrior people out there, I guarantee that the WWF would have shut down 15 years ago if all they had were guys like Greg Valentine and Ricky Steamboat(not to knock on either, as I love both). The Warrior did what he was supposed to do- he got the people on their feet. He left the actual wrestling up to the other guys. Ultimate Warrior rules. PERIOD!

The classic WWF steroid monster. This guy was pretty huge back when I watched wrestling as a kid. After the first couple of matches though, his performance got a bit repeatitive - sprint to the ring, shake the ropes up and down, point at the opponent, have a 'roid rage attack, run around the ring five times, shake the ropes again, run around the ring some more, point at the other guy and go into a 'roid rage again, get into the ring, hit the guy a few times, get hit back a few times, go into the mother of all 'roid rages and gorilla press slam the guy and then jump on him. Every match was the same match on a different day, against the same guy.

absolutely sucked more than any wrestler, ever. i have always hated the warrior, and i always will. the most talentless bastard to ever live. and his streamers were totally gay. and by the way, anyone who says he was entertaining and thats all that matters should watch his promo before wrestlemania 6 - at the supposed height of his career...

He was the best there ever was and ever will be. He brought an unbridaled passion for excitement in and out of the ring. I didn't like him back when he first fought hogan but after that match I became a big fan. He made alot of kids like wrestling. But now with the business going down with unfresh and old writing and all the big stars doing movies or having disputes it would make a world of difference if there was another character or warrior himself would make another apperance. It seems anytime a wrestler gets big they dissappear. O.W.N.

Warrior blew up (wrestling jargon for getting exhausted) on his way to the ring every time. His match with Hogan was choreographed and rehersed multiple times before WM6 because McMahon realized how bad the two's ring work was and was afraid they would flop if left to their own devices. Their rematch in 1999 proved Vince was right and has been called by Dave Meltzer (wrestling's most respected journalist) as the worst match of all time. It was while watching a sketch scripted by Warrior himself that involved a Papa Shango "casting a spell" on him which caused our painted hero to puke green slime that Tod Gordon decided to found ECW. ECW in turn revolutionalized the sport and by copying it the WWF has gotten bigger than ever. That's the only good thing I've got to say for the guy: his moronoic act inspired someone to make a better product. Warrior is as famous as George Jones in wrestling circles for no-showing at events he's scheduled for. BTW the baffoon actually legally changed his name from Jim Helwig to Warrior. He had the most lame finisher I've ever seen and it was better than anything else he could do. He's the living definition of "all hype" with not a inkling of talent to back it up.
