One of the few truly talented guys from the current era. He has left to concentrate on movies. This is a good choice.

This guy had an abundance of charisma and cut some pretty funny promos, but he was pretty boring in the ring. He could be entertaining on the mic, but many times his promos were corny and just plain stupid. He also overacted alot and his promos were always one dimensional. Still, he was one of the biggest draws in wrestling history and was able to get the crowd involved in whatever he did.
rjy 12/06/2005
As a wrestler, I would give him 5 stars. But as an actor 1 star!
numbah16tdhaha 09/14/2005
He needs to quit making movies for at least a month or two.
proballer22 07/29/2005
never liked him. will always go down at #3 behind hulk and steve
sykick 05/25/2005
Cena cannot compare to this man, he ties with stone cold for the greatest mic skills ever....and his wrestling skills are also very solid, he's fast and agile for a 270 pounder, and very entertaining
Amaso Kid 05/16/2005
Divine sports ENTERTAINER. Trash-talker off the ring, and all crazy antics in the ring like laying the smackdown with the spitting, imitating the nature boy strut, locking in opponents with a really exaggerated version of the sharpshooter (he always seem to be the one screaming in pain when doing this)... But ultimately, 5 stars for what he does and that is to exemplify the art of Pro wrestling as sports entertainment.
celtics_rock_3 4 03/25/2005
HE IS AWESOME AND BEAT JOHN CENA IN A MATCH!
twansalem 03/23/2005
Makes too many movies, almost never wrestles anymore.
Mad Hatter 10/09/2004
His movies are pretty good but he needs to get back in the ring.

I used to love The Rock. But now he ain't nothin, but a rooody poo...candy ass!!!He goes away to make some LOUSY movie. Then shows up again and expects everyone to cheer for him.All the while plugging his LOUSY movie. Then leaves again to make another LOUSY movie. It got tired real quick and the fans know it,that's why he gets booed out of buildings.ROCKY SUCKS...ROCKY SUCKS.
kolby1973 01/15/2004
I detest pro wrestling and everything that goes with it...but there is ONE exception..and that is the Rock...not only is he hot...but he is someone you could bring home to your parents !
mrmcduff 01/15/2004
Awsome

Do you want to know why I gave The Rock a 5? IT DOESN'T MATTER WHY I GAVE THE ROCK A 5!
Hardwire 07/31/2003
He seems like a good guy in real life, and I don't have anything against his anti-hero hero type personality, but all he is is a bad influence. Everyone thinks they are the Rock, and it's just frustrating, because they are not. If people aren't already jerks, let them keep asking your name and then saying it doesn't matter a thousand times.
JohnLover 07/27/2003
the rock makes other people! hes amazing on the mic and in the ring!
Datmartin 06/26/2003
Dumb Actor
jagman28782 06/21/2003
The Rock is a hollywood dickhead now
ZzZzZzZz 06/20/2003
One of the best of all time. Ability, charisma, entertaining, memorable, hysterical.
Redoedo 05/26/2003
Once upon a time, The Rock was popular and he was entertaining to watch. This was a time when The Rock was just a silly little mid-carder on his way up, and fans were attracted to his blatant cockiness and his cool catchphrases. I myself even found myself chuckling whenever he'd pull one of his "It doesn't matter" routines. I thought that he had a wonderful chemistry with Mick Foley in the "Rock N' Sock" Connection. Their teaming made for some of the most entertaining television I'd ever witnessed on WWE television. And he used to be pretty impressive in the ring as well. However, his time has passed, and it has passed all too quickly. The Rock was a flame that burned for a while, but I think that it is an understatement that he has let his fame get to his head, BIGTIME! It's so sad because he has done to the wrestling business what Steve Austin also did. He has redefined it. However, he has not given up the business because of injuries like Austin. He has not given up the business because of creative differences like Austin. He has given up wrestling because he, plainly and simply, thinks that he is too good for it now. His acting career (I don't think he's much of an actor myself) is obviously more important than his wrestling career. And he has the nerve to take 6-7 month leaves of absences and then come back every once and a while, get on the mic, and then leave again. For instance, when Austin left in June of last year, The Rock had the nerve to say that Austin can "take his ball and go home". Can we say "hippocrite?" Rocky? Austin may have taken his ball and went home, but where were you the whole time when he was carrying the company? Filming movies? How would you have any idea of the problems going on backstage, most of which led to Austin's departure. Austin may have taken his ball and went home, but you've taken yours and joined another team. Have fun in Hollywood!
grandpaw001 05/19/2003
he is a great wrestler for 3rd generation but he needs to make up his mind to be an actor or a wrestles hard to burn the wick at both ends huh Rockie?
domino10 05/10/2003
He should go back to his acting career. He never was a very talented wrestler anyway.
MuscleCub 04/24/2003
One of the most boring creatures around. No appeal, no charisma, and a terribly average wrestler. I just switch channels when he comes on. Zero interest.
jdsteffen 04/21/2003
Talented in and out of the ring, But please, stick to wrestling, cause he sucks behind the big screen
Kalbowski 04/03/2003
Puts talent over, incredibly charismatic, and a fantastic worker. IF wrestling had guys like him then it would be just like heaven on a Monday Night! (Better as a heel as he has proven with his Hurricane interactions)
angusmacpherso n 03/28/2003
Not as entertaining now as he was a couple of years ago...catch phrases aren't nearly as good.
TripleH595 02/27/2003
He is THE WORST PERIOD!
BassHawg 02/27/2003
And just who in the blue hell had the nerve to give the jabroni beatin', pie eatin', Smack speakin' Peoples Champ less than a 5 star rating. IF YA' SMELLLLL What the ROCK is cookin'!!!!!
rogue 02/20/2003
Sloppy hack who's worked his way up to... what, 5 moves now?!?
meccawarrior 02/16/2003
IF every one watched for the rock, no one would be watching now, cause he dont even wrestle he just acts. Thanks to the Hulkster at Wrestlemania, no one even really likes him anymore. Sure he says some funny stuff sometimes, but he has already gotten old to the fans. Plus he looks like a dumbass bald.
abhilash 02/14/2003
He the reason wrestling is alive today
allknowing 02/13/2003

SUCKS
TheFreak 11/08/2001
The Rock is an annoying, pretentious, arrogant, boastful, overrated loudmouth. The Federation's biggest FAKER, that's what he is! What is this vegetable's appeal? None, if you ask me. All shine and no substance. I cringe whenever he opens his mouth, thinking "Oh Jesus Christ! Somebody find me some earplugs!" 300+ pound guy who, with his checkbook, probably bought his muscles. SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT HIS APPEAL IS!!! PLEASE! Take care, everyone!
DDodgeSilver 10/09/2001
Catchphrases and goofy finishing moves don't win championships, but combine them with some decent wrestling ability and the ability to exress what a fan would say to the heel of the night, and you have the Rock. He's probably not the most electrifying man in Sports Entertainment (that's RVD), but he's up there, and you can hear it when he walks down the "People's Ring". The only thing stopping me from giving him a 5 is that lately, his interviews have degenerated into self-parody. Self-parody can be funny if you're doing it on purpose, but I don't think he is. It's almost like he has a generic outline for his mike time. 1. Insult interviewer 2. Show mock respect for opponent. 3. Crack joke with the word anus, nipple, or testicles. 4. Do the "If ya smell..." bit. 5. Go back to locker room to check on stock options. If he starts mixing it up again and refreshes his mike style, he'll go right back to a five.
waterboy1977 09/18/2001
How would you define greatness? In the most subtle and convenient, yet expressive, way, I would venture to say that The Rock exemplifies what sports entertainment greatness is all about. Not only is The Rock truly the most electrifying man in sports entertainment, but he is one of the greatest entertainers to grace the arena of sports entertainment. The Rock knows how to thrill the crowd, almost always overcomes the odds, and thoroughly surpasses everyone's expectations. The Rock's mere presence in the arena is a treasure to the millions??.and millions??..of Rock fans because they know The Rock has something special in store for them. That is why he is The People's Champion. The Rock has done more than become one of sport entertainment's greatest and most respected icons. He has paved the way for future superstars to come. The Rock has shaken the arena of sports entertainment to a level many probably never thought possible. And just when you start to think The Brahma Bull has shown you all there is to see, that The Rock has given all he has to give, he always shocks the world with something new and exciting. And then the "Rocky! Rocky!" chants become louder than ever before. You can't stop The Rock! The Brahma Bull has the heart of a champion and he will not quit! And it doesn't matter if The Rock takes a beating. It doesn't even matter if The Rock loses the gold. Because the fact of the matter is this: Win, lose, or draw, The Rock will walk out of the arena with a title that is not made of leather and gold??..The People's Championship. There is only one People's Champion. There is only one Rock. And he is without a doubt The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment!
HurleyGurley 06/27/2001
I think The Rock is the best wrestler ever, i heard he was going to quit wrestling and become an actor, this better not be true!! He can't do that to me!! I am one of the many people who think The Rock is the coolest! One of those people is Justin Berfield who is totally cool!
olsaintnic 06/27/2001
JABRONIE
Besmirched 06/06/2001
I really don't understand the appeal of the Rock. He's pretty funny at times, but as a wrestler he definately sucks, with about 3 moves that he can do. Surely people should be admiring the likes of William Regal and Kurt Angle, who are very funny AND are good technical wrestlers.
BoXiNgFaN 05/23/2001
If i could go lower I would....He didn't make WWF what it is today....that is all because of y2j...since he's been gone...the ratings aren't down....Rocky....go suck on a monkey's nipple and stay away
momadman 05/15/2001
gOOD WRESTLER BUT THE SAME OLD CATCH PHRASES ARE GETTING OLD
IversonMVP 03/28/2001
Best Combination of Mic Skills, Charisma, In Ring skills, and Execution out of all the Superstars on the WWF and WCW Roster. Better Retain The belt at WM-X7 because its Austins turn to do the job. ONE
dragon666 03/14/2001
by far the rock is the most overated, outdated, and over-exaggerated "superstar" of them all. i have heard more intelligent "catch phrases" from my seven year olds mouth than the rock has ever said in his miserable spoon-fed career.as far as the peoples champ is concerned, my intelligence is highly insulted,i would rather be represented by a two-bit rodeo clown than this "brainiac" as far as being the champ goes, he didn't earn it, he had his chance to step up when stone cold had surgery he didn't HHH did and i don't remember him beating HHH. the rock is nothing more than a cheap pop-culture bandwagon much like nstynk or milli-vanilli for that matter. well if they can put a chimp into outerspace they can do just about anything!!!!
Just_Scot 02/23/2001
The Rock is a terrible wrestler. His catchphrases are over used. And all you marks need to realize that. The Rock is not wrestling. Triple H is the best in the game cause he is "The Game"
odie01 02/15/2001
The chat is becoming hackneyed and full of catchphrases. The acting is relatively poor. Let's not talk wrestling ability - it is fixed after all: it's just a matter of how the journey fares.
reeny 02/12/2001
When the WWF had the Rock change his whole persona, I loved it. The trash talkin and catch-phrases had me rollin. Now it's all stale "If you smell what the rock is cookin". The old lines and eyebrow thing is obsolete now. Even Stone Cold and Triple H have changed their gimmicks some. Give the Rock and the fans something new.
NicoTamm 02/07/2001
The Rock is the peoples champ!
Hayley 01/27/2001
The Rock is a really good wrestler. He does a great job and his speaking skills are excellent. He always has something to say, he's original and funny too. The Rock has just the right combination of wrestling and speaking skills.
