He is always one of the top statistical recievers and he has at least two other good recievers on his team that also need stats.

Hope he breaks all of Rice's records.

This guy's amazing. Probably will be a hall of famer. Doesn't talk the talk but he sure does walk the walk. Consistent production year in and year out. Getting old though and starting to get banged up.

He is a product of a system. He has good speed (although he's definitely lost a step with age), good route running, etc., but there are several facets of the game where he is lacking. He is not a good possession reciever by even the furthest stretch (I prefer the oft ignored posession players personally), just as well not try blocking or catching in traffic, and has the benefit of catching passes for the only QB in the league who will make decent players look like ProBowlers. Consider that before Peyton Manning showed up, Marvin Harrison wasn't getting 1,000+ yard, 100+ reception seasons... More like 800 yards and 60 catches... That's the kind of stats a solid #2 reciever gets, not a #1. However, in 1999, the year Peyton matured, suddenly Marvin Harrison exploded onto the scene as well. Now, you tell me which one made the other look good. I will tell you it's Peyton Manning because he's done that to a handful of other recievers as well. In all truth, there are several teams where Marvin Harrison would be their #2 option. However, he is a solid starter, but he's also in the twilight of his career and on the decline. He is not, at heart, a ProBowler in the real sense. As I say to Randy Moss and T.O. fans all of the time, there is more to the game than stats. At least he's not mouthy and destructive to the team.

A product of the system doesn't catch 100 fricking catches in 4 consecutive seasons. A product of the system doesn't catch 100+ TD'. Be fricking reasonable, Manning is a good QB, but Harrison is a good receiver as well. Statistically speaking, he's the most prolific receiver of the past 5-10 years. And he's also one of the best route runners in the NFL, and in his prime he WAS the best, did you even see his 2002 season? He had 143 fricking receptions and still averaged 12+ yards per catch. Please refrain from idiotic mistakes.

The best, most under-rated WR in the game.

Im not a colts fan i am a vikings fan but i think Marvin Harrison is the be all and end all of Wide Receivers. He has brains, pace, awareness, acceleration, catching ability, tackle breaking skills, jumping skills, diving skills and he never talks him self up. Man, He can do it all!

Manning-Harrison is the best connection in the game today.

just does his job without drawing attention to himself.

One of the most productive, and HUMBLE, players in the game. Everyone can talk about the All-Star numbers, but just the fact that he doesn't act like Randy Moss and so many other superstar athletes is where he really gets my respect. I'd want him on my team anyday.

Another big year ahead for Marvin. Syracuse alumni that has a long and promising career ahead of him, barring injury, thanks to his offensive mates of Manning and James. Colts could go a long way this year and a lot of that will depend on Harrison's success this season.
