If he only played in US like Tiger does mostly he could definitely close the gap but he continues to be the globe trotter and kudos to him Best of luck in this yrs majors! Change in equipment outstanding playing so far! Best of the rest

08/11/2000 | If it wasn't for Tiger Woods, Els would be the best player in golf right now. For players like him, it has to be tough and not just because they continually lose to Tiger. These guys are all competitors and it must absolutely kill them to not only lose, but to have to answer question after question about what it is like to lose to a player as good as Tiger. Could you imagine if you were in a sales job and the media asked you why you weren't as good of a salesman as the top salesman and do you think that you could even do anything different to try to narrow the gap? Els has shown amazing class and grace in defeat and in answering these types of questions.
