Born in 1951 in Sydney, Australia, Jan Stephenson was recognized during the LPGA’s 50th Anniversary in 2000 as one of the LPGA’s top 50 players and teachers. Stephenson came under fire in 2003 for saying that Asia players were "killing" the LPGA by not making themselves more available to the media.
