 | AEnzhRu (4) 05/28/2003 | Though it's allegedly the "birthplace of golf" and thus very historic, golf course designs have come a long ways since -in the RIGHT DIRECTION.
St. Andrew's resembles a gigantesque Scotland-like sheep herding pasture: All the fairways are extremely wide and straight and the greens are huge. There are bunkers disorganizedly scattered throughout the fairways that give one the impression that this pasture may have been bombed during WWII and sand was simply filled in them afterwards. In a nutshell, very bland course design. But hey, it is Scotland and it is the nativity of golf so I give it 3 stars for that.
