08/24/2004 | Winged Foot has the best 36 holes of golf anywhere in the world. The east course is tough as any course you will find. Both courses are extremely demanding and fair. The west course finishing holes are awesome.

02/07/2002 | This is a whole different kind of golf course. I played it right after the 74 Open. I was having a very good round (+3 on the front side with the Open rough still in full growth), and then I got to the 10th. Decieving little hole it is, or should I say deceitful. Just a 4 iron to a deep, but narrow green. Missed the pin 20 feet left. BIG sand trap, firm narrow green falling away. Into the right trap. Took a 9. The little hole just ate me up. The whole course is like that - it's not too long, not contrived, but requires consistently great shotmaking. If you're looking for a true test and you can get on the course, absolutely don't pass it up.
