 | annie2u59 (1) 10/03/2007 | well hell at least they make it to the playoffs every year, whole bunch of teams that dont do that, and as far as being a bunch of old guys, that would be used to be a bunch of old guys. and i`m sure even as an old guy, chelios can handle his self on and off the ice.with a country full of over weight americans, alot of people could learn a lesson from chelios!

 | jimorama (4) 06/09/2006 | Hockeytown my ass...only when they are winning. I remember seeing 8-9,000 in the joe in the early 80's when the Wings were lousy.

 | JohnDoe12345 (0) 03/23/2006 | The Red Wings are the best team ever they have the strongest of all team bonds and they make sure that any and all teams fear them. And they destroy the best NHL players. For example Patrick Roy.

 | Senatorfan (0) 11/08/2005 | One of the more entertaining teams to watch, especially with the new rules. The antithesis of the Maple Leafs....Detroit: talented hockey players who are allowed to display their skill. I'd put my $ down to watch the Wings play any day.

Detroit ROCKS!!! We even get the 2006 SuperBowl. Right before we get Stanley lol

 | SpecialboothvicJr. (10) 11/07/2004 | I would have to say this is one of the best teams right now. They work hard on the ice and they just want to win more cups.

The wings actually have a high payroll. BECAUSE WERE SOOOOOO GOOD!!!!! We have a lot of good players on the team, such as Steve Yzerman. Which has only played for the wings

 | Rev. Joseph Marquis (0) 06/30/2003 | Problem: No "fire in the belly" during the '03 playoffs. A real waste of talent. Should be interesting to see who returns (The "Dominator?")in the Fall of '03.

 | Sharon3802 (0) 04/26/2003 | The Red Wings have some really awesome players, and deserved to win the Stanley Cup last year. I can't believe that the Ducks swept them in 4 games straight this year.

 | dreams (0) 03/30/2003 | Detroit Red Wings are THE BEST hockey team in the NHL. Other teams that don't like them are just jealous...

 | morts98 (0) 03/15/2003 | Still the team to beat. They are near the top without Stevie Y all year. Now he's back and the pretenders better watch out.

 | gopman79 (2) 03/12/2003 | They are a classic. They have won quite a bit of hardware. I grew up rooting for them. And that is why they get a 5 from me. Good management too.

 | mikey frans (0) 02/10/2003 | I will admit they have tradition and stanley cups in their past......but the avalanche dominate them every year except for 2002 when they had to acquire all those hall of famers and hasek just to get past the avalanche..Colorado never has the depth the wings have but most of the time eliminate the wings in the playoffs..says alot about the lanche's top players...I just don't know what it is but I can't stand the red wings..lets see how far they get this year without the dominator...Hoetown I mean motown is full of ignorant fans that invented that stupid octupus thing..Underachieving players that cant get it done by their talent alone have to add free agent hall of famers just to get over the hump......RED WINGS SUCK

 | GOMIR (0) 01/02/2003 | WOW!!! The best team ever. I've loved them since I was 5. Cujo's a great addition. Steve Yzerman is the heart and soul of that team. Let's Go Red Wings (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap)...

 | lukskywlkr. (3) 11/07/2002 | I don't know if it's the city, or the fact that Brett Hull is there, or those hideous red get-ups they wear, but I can't stand this team.

 | Drapes (0) 10/23/2002 | This team is amazing. There are more all-stars on this team than non-all-stars.

 | Rusty (0) 09/08/2001 | Motown madness here. Names such as Yzerman, Fedorov, Konstantinov, Osgood, Howe, Lindsay, Ogrodnick, Delvecchio, Jack Adams, Sid Abel, etc. keep the sprit of Lord Stanley alive. Always a major draw in a very hockey-knowledgeable city. I don't care for the octopi-throwing "tradition," however. I'm not a big Wing fan, but I do respect and admire them for their ability to put a competitive team on the ice nearly every game. It's nice to see Dominik Hasek get another chance to try to win a Cup, since he played all those years for some very good but not great Sabre teams.

 | I am the Mole (0) 03/11/2001 | I live in Columbus and have had the privilege to see the Wings play first-hand. The fans are the most spirited in the NHL, and here in Columbus have been known to drown out Blue Jackets fans. And on a side note, they never once yelled "GO WINGS" during the National Anthem here. Maybe fans in other cities have issues, but the ones here do not.

 | steve417 (0) 11/16/2000 | I have always been a great fan of the Detroit Red Wings. I live in Ottawa, so I know for a fact that Yzerman used to live here. I shook his hand and got his autograph. I felt a true sense of pride in he Wings when I did that. He bought the Cup with him to!

 | c_wi5398om (0) 03/15/2000 | Those boys have broken my heart more than once (hello? they got beat by San Jose in the first round of the playoffs several years ago!). And they made up for it by winning back-to-back Stanley Cups. As long as Steve Yzerman is the captain, my boys can do no wrong! It's all about the unconditional love!

 | beth1787du (0) 11/27/1999 | great team, but it is obnoxious to have their loud fans at EVERY out-of-town venue! Rude fans, who yell "go wings" during the national anthem - you're not making a good impression!
