 | JSalmon (2) 12/17/2005 | Lets not live too far in the past. I hope sometime down the road I can upgrade my rating, but they are awful. They have too much heritage and pride to not push themselves harder while wearing that sweater.

 | Senatorfan (0) 11/08/2005 | Habs blow chunks. How can you cheer for a team that trades a Hall-of-Fame player (Shutt) AFTER he announces he is retiring at the end of the year (he only played his entire career to that point with the team ... I guess that's the loyalty you should expect from the team....).
Montreal is made up of a bunch of Ottawa cast-offs.

 | THIRDPARTY (1) 04/24/2005 | The National Hockey League As a Business Entity should fold completely after teh total bebacle and CANCELLATION OF the 2004-05 Campaign Where in not ONE GAME was contested...
And the League Should be renamed the International Hockey League.. and the Teams (ALL PERSONNEL ON EVERY TEAM) should be given the salaries that the Teams in the Old IHL were given when THAT league folded after the 2000-01 season. I am certain those figures are kept on file or record SOMEWHERE! I am only posting this at the Montreal Canadiens site because they are top ranked at rateit.com.

 | jpwjr1199 (0) 07/14/2004 | A team on the rise. Bob Gainey is an awesome GM, and I'd love to have him running the Isles.

 | CherrySoda99 (31) 05/01/2004 | I've gained more respect for this team in the Playoffs then I've ever had for them before. I think they showed that they are a good team. They have an awesome goltender, they beat Boston and cam back from a 3-1 deficit. I think that's pretty good. It's a shame they were put out by Tampa, but it was no surprise.

 | DavCar (0) 06/22/2003 | I use to be a Hartford Whaler fan, until they moved, but when Montreal came to Hartford. I always enjoyed watching them play Hartford, even some of Montreal's fans would come down to watch the game between the two. Montreal fans are a lot more classier than Bruins fans. Somehow Boston fans seem to be more cocky, but there team always S______KED BIG TIME! Boston should at least win some games before they get cocky, Montreal has won much more, so they get my respect.

 | guraqt2me2 (0) 05/06/2003 | Les Canadiens: A team of wishful thinkers in their bid to recapture the PAST. Never again, will one see the present day Habs play like those glory years. Most Montreal Canadien fans only like the Canadiens because they USE TO mostly win,... not because of their knowledge of the game of hockey. This team used to be one of the most difficult teams to crack the line-up on. Star players such as Guy Lafleur sat the bench for a number of seasons prior to making the regular line-up. The league is too watered down now, to enable any franchise to be truly, a complete team of GREAT players.

 | H[]T_Rodgers (0) 06/12/2002 | See DickDirk we have some things in common after all. Were both Canadians, and we like hockey(not to mention we like hockeys greatest 2 teams ever) Its too bad though that the Americans had to come and ruin the game. Do you know what I noticed when watching the Canadiens-Hurricanes series? F***ing cheerleaders in the stands. This isn't football this is canada's sport...HOCKEY!!

 | Munson (8) 11/20/2000 | What a shame to see this franchise in a complete state of disarray. They're in the process of being sold, the cache of playing for the Montreal Canadians has worn off, and injuries this year have cost their cost and GM their jobs. However, Montreal fans need only look at the NY Yankees for some hope. These Canadians are like the Yankees of the early nineties and look at the success of the Yankees since then. Of course, you could also compare them to today's Celtics who have no real hope on the horizon.
