 | Wavebacker (27) 02/26/2007 | The Flyers are the Oakland Raiders of Hockey. History of success tempered by a bullying reputation run by an owner who loves his team maybe just a little too much and with a loyal and dedicated fan base.
The Flyers are good for the NHL because they usually have very good teams that compete hard, are interesting to watch and make the Game Experience fun, either by playing before loud and animated fans or riling up the opponents they play against. They are known for rough and tumble play and are one of the more recognizable names in the NHL.

 | Senatorfan (0) 11/08/2005 | Once again ... congrats to Bobby Clarke for not signing a decent goalie or some D that know where their own end is. At this rate, he'll have all the forwards on the Eastern all-star team playing for him, and he'll STILL find out that he can't win a Cup.
Go Sens Go

 | CherrySoda99 (31) 05/01/2004 | Any team that kicks Toronto out of the playoff's deserves 1 star! Philly is a tough team. Watching them play against the Leafs this season, was absoute torture! They have skill, I'll give them that, but I hate them! Toronto will kick there butts in the Playoffs ! I hope the Leafs take them in 6 games!

 | v the final battle (0) 11/21/2002 | although i am an oiler fan i have to admit a grudging admiration for the flyer teams of the 80's plus the fact they gave the oilers one of the best runs in a stanley cup finals in 87. you could never count these guys out they were always dangerous and well coached not to mention deep in talent that wasn't always healthly(tim kerr) among others. my favorite on this team was rick tocchet and the late great pelle lindberg.(r.i.p)

 | LoneUSFullHouseFan (3) 11/09/2002 | I believe they have a chance after 2000 season when they finally got rid of Lindros.

 | Rusty (0) 09/09/2001 | Bob "No Tact" Clarke loves his Flyers to the point of being a detriment. His relationships with Eric "Concussion" Lindros and Lindros' father were pathetic, and his reluctance to acknowledge anyone other than the Sniders for the team's success comes across as disingenuous and smarmy. Clarkie-baby needs to realize that maybe HE is the problem. Aside from that, the Flyers have always been a goon hockey squad, so what else is new?

 | Shafty (2) 05/01/2000 | Glad to see the organization and Bobby Clarke treated the whole Lindros concussion issue with such responsibility.
