 | StevePI (0) 01/17/2005 | As time marches on many great athletes in many sports get slowly forgotten. So it is the case with the Glenn Hall. Along with Terry Sawchuk and Jacaues Plante, Hall was a top notch goaltender playing in the most competitive era the NHL ever had. He almost singlehandedly carried the Blackhawks to their last Stanley Cup championship in 1961. He played on many fine Blackhawk teams, that were to his detriment offensively oriented and left him stranded at times. Consequently he became the best Goalie at defending the breakaway shot that I've ever seen. Glenn Hall, a one of a kind goaltender that not enough hockey fans remember and appreciate.
