It seems like he has been in the NHL forever, but he is still one of the best defensemen. Nobody hits harder, he is a great leader, can get into the offensive flow, and can mix it up when necessary. The most important moment in NJ Devil history was when an arbitrator awarded Stevens to the Devils as compensation for the Blues signing Brendan Shanahan.
