It looks like a giant pumice stone or chunk of lava from a volcano. It is hard and porous. At first I thought it might be good to use on the calluses on the bottom of my feet. Honestly, to look at it and feel it I couldn’t fathom how it would do anything to remove pet hair – or worse, it would ruin the fabric it was supposed to be cleaning.I’m here to tell you that it works! It takes hair off of everything. Velvet curtains (again, I realize we were stupid to have velvet curtains in a house full of pets), highly textured and tufted cushions, carpet. It gets hair we didn’t even know was there. Hair that’s intertwined into fibers that no vacuum can touch. I can’t say enough good things about it and how effective it is. I would call it an invaluable tool for anyone with a pet hair problem – and that’s EVERYONE reading this.I now have one under the kitchen sink so I can use it in the house and keep one in our rig (that’s the dog transport vehicle). I’d never leave home without it. I actually wouldn’t mind a purse-size version so I could have one with me at all times. Ahhh, we can always dream.More at http://www.pawprintsthemagazine.com/?p=2289
