This market is located in the South Main arts district in downtown Memphis and really feels like much more than just a farmers market. The market has great local produce, but there are also fabulous arts and crafts, wonderful local musicians, cooking demos, and activities for kids and adults. All of this contributes to a festival atmosphere--and a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning. There is also a Market Cafe with a great selection of pastries and delicious coffee. Oh--and did I mention the people? Even if you don't buy a thing, you'll have a great time and probably meet some friends. The market is open 7a-1p, late April through October. Vendors come from Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee to sell flowers, vegetables, meats, cheeses, plants, crafts, breads, desserts, and more. There is plenty of free parking--and there's even pet care. Check it out!
