I was going to give the patriots 5 stars but i'm not only because of their cheating head coach. As a big fan i'm very disappointed with the patriots.

Since the last season, with being caught cheating ~ they reap what they sow. Personally, I think they should have taken the first five won games (via cheating), and given those wins to the other team. Cheaters never prosper! I am sorry, but reading other teams play books via camera, is still cheating!!!!

The Patriots suck!!! They are way overrated. the 17-0 meant nothing without a super bowl win. The biggest game of the season and they lost. They are worthless. Im glad they lost to a Manning again!!! and to a NY team. Patriots fans talk a lot of crap and it was great watching the Giants win and watching the faces of pats fans crying. That was seriously the best feeling ive had in years. Brady was worthless in that game. Mr. Tom "terrific" was horrible. Giants found the weakness of an over rated team and over powered them. Brady needs to go home and take care of his love child and stop doing gay stetson commercials. Oh and his supermodel girlfriend is not the hottest. I've seen better looking supermodels....for crying out loud janice dickinson is better looking then she is...ha ha ha oh plus the giants done cheat....like the patriots do especially during the superbowl with the rams. Hey pats try winning a superbowl with more then just 3 points losers. LETS GO GIANTS

Today, the New England Patriots are marching, and charging to defeat the Giants. Many women are going to be married this time. The glory of the Patriots is shining. Super Patriots, Super Bowl, Super Team, and Super Power. Patriots=Power. Wishing you success Team!. Tonight, I'm gonna play my video games to mark the triumphant entry of the Patriots into the new Jubilant Golden 21st Century with new Records, to mark their new records. Lord Jesus make their feet faster, and provide their tendons with verstatile power. Wait a minute!...they are creating excuses, and accusations to ruin our beloved Super Patriots. That's not good enough!.. Super Patriots RULES!!.

UPDATE: I don't how 'am say this, but it seems to me that, either the Patriots have been blackmailed, threatened to allow free win for the underdog giants, or a wizard, or a witch has spell some magic at their feet. Compare the giants to the Patriots, they can't spend more minutes, and the giants can't send a yelp of pain. However, they will still have won, and still they will win. Did I cracked the shell open here?. Is this how people are gonna win?

Saturdays game against the Jaguars proved that the Patriots could play on their own merits; they are really a good team. The only problem I have is why they felt the need to cheat? The Patriots will forever have an astericks by their record because they cheated, and against the Jets of all teams. Who really knows who else they cheated against. I am from Dallas an love the Cowboys;however, I am not proclaiming the Cowboys the Champions until they win the Super Bowl and until then, I believe that Payton Manning and the Colts still deserve the respect of being the reigning champs.

They are completely overrated. The defence looks old and slow and has been protected by the offense. The running game is mediocre and the passing game will disappear in the playoffs.

To me they look like a playoff one and done and I can't wait to see all of the crying fans in the stands. I think I will make a screen saver of them! Belicheat's press conference should be a classic too!

I am so not fond of the Patriots and I think mainly because of Belichick's cheating and his unprofessionalist and ego. How can kids look up to teams that cheat and that have to totally run up the score. We're not taught this in football from the first day and yet....a "professional" team does just that. Well Belichick you must really have a small _ick to have to run up the score as you did. Who cares about you...you are just a tired and washed up idiot! I feel sorry for the players, I'm sure they cannot wait to get over to Indianapolis just like Adam did. Now...that is a team we can look up too.

With Bill and their GM this team will always have a chance to win. With Tom Brady under center, as long as their defense can hold up, you have to fear the Pats.

They have more depth at runningback, but their WR corp is thin on experience. They make up for it with brilliant play calling and the deepest TE Corp in the NFL.

Their defense has very little depth, is aging, and has question marks in the secondary. The Patriots are riding a thin line between having to rebuild and holding on to their veterans. The Pats will win 1 more division championship, and barring a huge surprise in free agency, will be a wild card team at best in 2007.

I hate the Patriots more than any other team in the NFL, including the Cowboys when I was kid in the 80s and 90s. They are quite simply the LUCKIEST and MOST OVERRATED 3-time Super Bowl winners ever. All three wins were the result of either bad calls, fluke plays and/or the other team simply running out of time. They could have easily lost all three Super Bowls. Other reasons I despise the Pats: - they play dirty and get away with it - they whine and throw fits when things don't go their way and when the refs pull their heads from their rears and actually call a foul on them - most fair weather fans in the league. Unlike devoted fans in Green Bay, Pittsburgh and Cleveland who come to the games even when their teams suck, Patriots fans only started coming to games when the team started becoming successful. Weren't they almost on the verge of leaving Boston less than 20 years ago due to lack of fan support?? - the constant ass-kissing of the East Coast elitist sports media making the Pats sound like the greatest team ever when there are at least 4-5 other teams in the league this year (Colts, Steelers, Bears, Seahawks and Bengals) who were better than the Patriots. Everyone knows they only finished their season on a high note because they played soft, easily beatable teams! - the tuck rule, enough said.

I think the Patriots are simply a good team with some good players. The main reason I say this is because of the fashion in which they have been helped along over the years to allow them to be in a position of winning superbowls and all the other fame they've gained. The Tuck rule...raiders clearly won that game which would have meant no superbowl...enough said. The next superbowl, patriots most likely would have won the big one anyway, because thier team did improve, but again the pats have been helped along by some very poor judgement by the refs. I've never seen the pats really put a beating on a good team, they always seem to win by a last second field goal or huge mistake by the other team. If the pats had forced the mistakes, it would be a different story, but mistakes like the colts at the one yard line which had to do with bad play calling and clock management, no the physical play of the players on the field. The team is a good team, but their superbowls don't even compare to the 3 the dallas cowboys won or the 2 the broncos won, not even green bays superbowl....those teams stomped their opponents thorughout the season and playoffs....the patriots don't down right stomp on any good teams, they simply squeak by, almost always by 1 - 3 points or a last second save from tom brady like a hockey goalie.....that don't make you a great team in my opinion, it makes you a lucky one and a very fortunate one. Patriots have to win this years superbowl before I consider them a dynasty or great team....winning this year with all the better teams (unlike the poor opponents and their division last couple of years), would put a few notches under their belt as a great team. I just don't feel they earned everything they've accomplished last 5 years. Pats are a 3 in my book, great QB, good smart players, awesome coach...But not as good as many other teams over the past 5 years regardless of their superbowl wins...this year, if not for thier terrible division, they wouldn't even make the playoffs, but due to the bad playoff ranking of the nfl, your gonna have 2 or 3 10-6 teams sitting at home watching a team with a worse record simply because their division has 3 losing teams in it. That's the kind of help and luck I see with the patriots.

Alright, I've been on this board for about 10 minutes, made about 8 posts and I don't even plan on coming back after this because half of you here have IQ's comparable to T.O. (with similar arrogance) This board is full of fanboys; it's pathedic that most here don't even have the brains to post something slightly intelligent. Let me give an example: The Steelers are a great team. They play hard and have many loyal fans. Now I'm not a Steelers fan at all (i am a pats fan, as you might have guessed) but if I saw this posted, I would agree. Do I like the Steelers? Nope. Are they a really good team? Yes. Do they play hard? Yes. Do they have many loyal fans? Yup. Once again, do I like the Steelers? Not at all, but hell can they play ball. Now another example: The Steelers kick ass!! Every other team sucks! Lack of creativity; lack of influence; lack of credibility; lack of intellegence. Plenty of stupidity to cover up. I would continue to post here but I'm afraid I might come across another completely stupid post and have to waste 10 minutes of my life explaining stuff to a bunch of retards who have no idea what they are talking about.

3 superbowl wins by 3 points each time...this team is either very lucky, which of course their fans wouldnt admit,or God just favors them. Anyhow, they will never match the 49ers spectacular 5-0 superbowl record since they already lost two. But then again,no one else will match that feat.

The Most Overrated Team In the History Of Football. The Patriots Are So Overrated by the Media and Sports Analysts That When Other Teams Have To Go Against them They Basicilly Give Up before kickoff because they've been labeled by the media as the greatest team Ever and their not. If you notice Tom Brady Hardly Ever throws the Ball more than 30 yards, Corey Dillon and Wr's do all the Work. They Do Have a GOOD defence, BUT There Offence is Lackluster and Overrated because of TOM BRADY. AND TOM BRADY IS A SHMOE

You can't take away what they've accomplished. They just keep breaking records. No heroes. No flashy dances. No psycho egos with fur trimmed H2s. Just football. jmoney52, I feel for you. Colts are a great team with a great qb. Just not good enough this time around. eeeeeee, I also feel for you; it sucks to be that jealous of our little corner of paradise. And Zeck, hate to break it to you, but if there are fair weather fans, we just don't know about them because we've all been fans since the days of Lenkitis and Grogan (I think I was 10 year old back then), and those fair weather fans must not live here in NE. I can also explain why there are Packer bars all over the place; because Green Bay is such a frozen hell hole that they all moved out! :o)

Okay, think honestly now...you're in San Diego on a Sunday, you're from out of town, but you would like to find a bar that's full of your team's fans decked-out in team colors...you're NOT going to find a Patriot bar...you're NOT going to find a Giants bar...you're NOT going to find a Browns bar...BUT YOU WILL FIND AT LEAST ONE PACKER BAR!!!

Many NFL coaches fear the Patriots because they can win in so many ways. Brady is the only star on offense and defense is loaded. One more Super Bowl win and this team is a dynasty. Colts are the only AFC team capable of that this year. Titans and Dolphins lost their star on offense. Chiefs are one dimensional.

This team is the biggest fluke of them all. They are such a joke. I agree with what others said about the weak schedules being a factor in their victories. Same with the two Super Bowls. Weak scheduling caused them to go on a roll while only beating one good team (my Indianapolis Colts), and hence won the superbowl. The Patriots are overrated, they'll suck this year, wait and see.

Yeah, they had a weak schedule that first superbowl win, but this year they played 9 games, and won, against teams with 10 or more wins at the end of the season. They beat the 2 co-MVP's - twice. They will have Ty Law this year, he's under contract. If he throws this season then he's cutting his own throat, everyone will blame it on his being old and they won't pay the cash he's looking for. The Patriots have the best overall team, that's all there is to that.

I'm going to come to Chauncey's defense on this one. He wrote his comment in September, before the season got underway. He was not alone with his opinion - many football experts predicted that the Patriots would not even make the playoffs this past year. Secondly, when the Patriots won the Super Bowl 2 seasons ago Chauncey's right when he said that they had an easy schedule because they were a weak team the season before. Granted, any wild card that wins a Super Bowl has to really come together in the playoffs and the quarterback must prove to be a leader, however they weren't a powerhouse division winner like the Cowboys or 49'ers of the nineties. These teams each put together some solid seasons even though they had the toughest schedules in the league. Lastly I think Brady is one of the better quarterbacks in the league but not the best - Co-MVP's McNair and Manning are more talented and explosive.

Gee I wonder if the reason why Tara Reid was hitting on Tom Brady had something to do with the fact that he won a Super Bowl. Still, Brady deserves credit with pushing aside the overrated Drew Bledsoe and turning a decent team into a pretty damn good one. It looks like they're resembling the team that won the Super Bowl again, although they won't go that far this year. I expect 11-5 or 10-6 and probably the AFC East crown, and they will possibly win their first playoff game and make it to the AFC title game. That's where the ride should end, but this is a tough defensive team that knows how to win and doesn't make to many mistakes.

I just gave them an extra star for that draft. Never mind who they actually picked this year, but Scott Pioli used a reusable franchise label on a free agent to wheedle a third round pick out of nothing. Then the Pats traded a three for a two next year. Then they manufactured another free second round pick and drafted a low first round player (on most draft boards) with that pick. So, why didn't they just steal the number one guy in the whole draft? Wait, that's coming next year! . . . Ty Warren was a reach. In Ty's defense, he has something that DeWayne doesn't have: reach. Ty is close to six foot five with long arms; Short DeWayne has stubby little arms and legs. A sack is a six yard loss, but a pass tipped straight up in the air at the goal line can cost seven points potentially lost for the offense and another seven for the defensive touchdown. For example, do you remember the Super Bowl interception against the Rams that got called back? That was a 14 point shift.

Today's Pats play gutsy, tough defensive football and bring the game back to it's roots. Although Drew Bledsoe won the SB as a backup, I'm glad he was there to get a ring. He took such a godawful beating back there during the Pete Carroll days, I'm surprised he's still able to play. A much better football team than they used to be.
