The giants are going down in history this year. Having beaten a 18-0 team in the greatest score defecet in superbowl history, with a quarterback said not capable of leading a team to the superbowl under center like his brother, a weak secondary that couldnt handle the great amount of offensive threats on the patriots, and a team that had a coach with no ability to control his players on the edge of being fired. Well they showed all those critics.
GIANTS RULE!

Giants have been sucking this year badly, if you would look up from your tarot cards from time to time, Denver.

TO DENVER JUUSAN: Are you looking into a crystal ball or something? No one cares about the future in a review list that is labeled CURRENT! let me sa it again for you, CURRENT!

What the hell?! I thought Kurt Warner died from a broken thumb and an idiot coach in St. Louis. What a comeback.
OneHungryMonst er 08/25/2004
Their quarterbacks will help them win 6 or 7, but that's all.
LanceRoxas 08/02/2004
The worst team in football. Could probably lose 14 games. YOU GUYS STINK!

The Giants are my favorite NFL team and have been for 8 years now. But, they are one of the most inconsistent teams I have ever seen.I was glad to hear that Jim Fassel was fired, I mean he isn't a bad coach but the Giants never have consecutive winning seasons.
roblinb 11/08/2003
Super Bowl??? Please. The smallest Giants in the world are an average team with an average coach in an average division. 4-4 with a weak schedule, still means these scrubs will finish at 7-9 or 8-8. Kerry Collins has a good arm, but he is an alcoholic and I hope he starts pounding the sauce again. He'll need it when he throws his good strikes and damn Toomer drops it in the end zone. Jeremy Shockey is a big, loud, red neck who is low on intelligence but he is a good tight end. He's the best player on offense, still. Tiki Barber is not an every-down back, and the Giants are kicking themselves for wasting a draft pick on fat Ron Dayne. The pass defense is solid, and the run defense is okay, but this team is always predictably inconsistent.

solid offense, solid defense, experienced coaching, track record, depth, all adds up to a great 2003 season. super bowl here we go!

Boy do the Giants play some ugly football, but somehow win more often than they lose. I would NEVER put any money on today's Giants; you never know which Giants team is going to show up.
TheMyth 04/13/2003
I give the extra star for heart. I have always disliked the Giants, but watching them off and on last season, I couldn't help but warm up to them. Tiki Barber is one of the hardest working and down to earth player at runningback. These guys play with more heart than anyone in the league, including the Titans. This is a blue collar team, and that's what makes them the underdog people love to cheer for.
angusmacpherso n 04/03/2003
Vastly overrated.
DOOOOOLING 02/28/2003
They will be the team to beat in 03. Mark my words. They have bonafide offensive weapons and will shore up the D-line. They will dominate. It has finally all come together.

The worst thing about the bad call in that niners game is that it overshadows the giant's woefully weak DEFENSE in that second half. THAT is what should be on players and fans minds til next season...not the stupid call.
sfalconer 01/09/2003
They should have never been in the position they were in. The niners scored 25 unanswered points. The Giants screwed themselves.

they r ok

The thing about American football is that crazy teams make it 2 the big game EVERY YEAR now. Built on defense (Remember 56), but the system of craziness today w/ salary caps (NY Yankees don't have a salary cap; they just signed a deal w/ Man United for More Money) makes most every football team OVERRATED cause after all, ANYBODY can make it 2 the Stupor Bowl now, except the toothless Bengals, Bears, and EGADS! the 49ers (Remember when they had a dynasty)? Now in soccer, the bottom teams get relegated, or SENT DOWN TO ANOTHER LEAGUE! Overall, I prefer soccer instead (Why look at Man United, Roma, Real Madrid, & even fascinating teams as AB, PSV, MTK Budapest, & YES BRAZIL'S NATIONAL TEAM!!!!!). I give only a few sports teams high scores when rating: Man United, New York Yankees, Duke, & Carolina Tarheels! Besides, the Giants have ALWAYS been BORING even in the 80's. I prefer more TD's in my football watching or I fall ASLEEP!
pbonanno 01/15/2001
Is is coincedence, or do the Giants make opponents play bad ball? Glad they're underdogs again - it seems to help them. Go jints!
magellan 01/15/2001
In my opinion, the most balanced team in the NFL. The Ravens have a killer defense - the rams a great offense. The Raiders are offense heavy, as are the Broncos. The Eagles have a superb defense and one outstanding offensive player. Only the Giants are able to put all the pieces together - and never has it been more obvious in their 41-0 destruction of the Vikings. Collins threw for 5 TDs and the defense smothered the high-powered Viking offense.

Wow, what a call by Munson back in September. Yesterday's performance was the most impressive Giants performance since their first Super Bowl year and maybe one of their most impressive in their history. Back when Fassel made his guarentee, I thought he was losing it and that he was coaching the final five games of his Giants career. Instead, with a smothering defense and dangerous offense, he has them on their way to Tampa. Absolutely amazing.

If Ron Dayne can get it going the Giants will surprise.
Munson 09/11/2000
They probably don't deserve a 5 (not yet at least), but something has to be done to move them up on this list. I know it is still early and they have won only two games, but they look damn good. Their offense is more dangerous than it has been in ten years. Kerry Collins looks like the real thing: he has shown great patience, not made mistakes, and has dangerous wide receivers. And, the running game has looked equally impressive, particularly Tiki Barber who is playing like Barry Sanders. With the defense strong as usual, the Giants can go deep in the playoffs.

NOT SURE ABOUT THIER PROBLEM BUT IN MY FANTASY LEAGUE THERE IS NO GIANT PLAYER THAT HAS BEEN TAKEN IN 13 WEEKS.

What an exciting team to watch!
