The 06 Rams are going to have an identity crisis. They are a team built in Mike Martz' image. They were a pass 60% of the time. This year's team is going to try to be more balanced, but their defense isn't good enough to carry their end. This team is going to win 7 or 8 games, but they're not going to threaten the Seahawks or Cardinals this year.
Survivorfan1 01/30/2006
So glad they fired Martz - IDIOT - and overhauled their coaching staff. I think the new coach Linehan can turn them back into the offensive juggernaut they once were. I think with some smart trades and draft picks to shore up their defense, the Rams can contend again next season. GO RAMS!!

Nice St. Louis, Nice. Give me a break and win a couple more, how's that? I say positive things about positive teams, and frankly, I like half of what you have to offer.
jazzackfl 09/18/2005
Average Team. Offence is great, but their defence is terrible. Their secondary is too little. How is a 178 lbs Cornerback going to cover a 210 wide receiver like T.O.
asskickingboot s 05/18/2005
I think they got some upside heading into this year. They still have a talented core of recievers, a great o-line, and Steven Jackson is going to be a great back. It's their defense that worries me.

The Greatest Show on Turf isn't quite what it used to be, and from my perspective, that's a good thing. :)
jmoney52 10/03/2004
Iwould rate this team as good, but their coach is a jackass.
OneHungryMonst er 08/25/2004
I would have given them a four, but I think Bulger will struggle and they'll get a wild card spot at best.

absolutely HATE the st louis LAMBS watching delhomme hoock up with smith for that bomb im the 3rd overtime and hearing all the lambs fan's hearts break at the same time was a thing of beauty
vtsciencenerd 03/12/2004
Anyone who doesn't think the rams have a defense is wrong they have adam archuleta and a heck of a defensive line and on offense they have one of the best kickers ever they also have marshall faulk a great runner and they have marc buldger who although through a lot of interceptions won pro bowl mvp and if someone wins pro bowl mvp you can't argue with it the rams are great

If the Rams can stay consistent, and prove that last Sunday's spanking by the sorry 49ers was a fluke, they might be able to sneak the division title away from Seattle. Mark Bulger is a good quarterback, better than likeable but terribly inconsistent Kurt Warner, and he has righted this ship for the most part. Torry Holt is getting in done on offense, and Marshall Faulk is back this week. Although Faulk is not what he once was, he should make a difference on 1st and 2nd downs, and also as a receiving threat to take the pressure off of Holt. A 5-3 second half could mean 10-6 and maybe a wild card, but 7-1 with their easy remaining schedule would mean 12-4 and most likely the division title. I think the latter is more likely, and maybe even a first-round bye. Keep an eye on this team.

WINNERS!
bigtankxxx 05/15/2003
they are my mothers most favorite team she has liked them since she first started waching football.I know that last year they didn't even make it to the playoffs, but due to recent studies in the year 2006 they will most likely be getting a new coach and maybee that will modivate them to do better. Go Rams!!!
intoxicatedalc hohali 05/04/2003
damn that FAULK....
President -X-D 04/30/2003
The greatest choke on turf. Mike Martz is a fool. This team has no defense and their offensive scheme doesn't surprise anyone anymore like in 1999. Kurt Warner is done and that kid Bulger was a fluke. Marshall Faulk is a stud but Martz is too incompetent to remember that; give Faulk the football Martz, you bonehead!
lowrider 04/29/2003
there over they were good but times change
Rusty 04/22/2003
Lost to New England when it counted. Shouldn't have let that happen!
TheMyth 04/13/2003
With Kurt Warner lying about a fractured thumb and Marshall Faulk down for a few games, the Rams had a hard year. The bright point was the emergence of a solid backup, maybe even starter in Bulger. The ONLY reason the Rams didn't make a playoff run last year was because of the hack Mike Martz. The reason they lost the Super Bowl was because of idiotic play calling in the first half and fourth quarter. Losing Trung Candidate won't really affect the team like losing Az Hakim was. They need a solid 3rd receiver to step it up. Oh yeah, and get rid of Martz.
angusmacpherso n 04/03/2003
They'll be back in 2003--with Warner OR Bulger.

Boonta23 01/11/2003
The 2002-03 Rams were much over-rated. You had to believe that they were going to falter after winning the Super Bowl, and they sure did.
jwguy_nue 12/19/2002
I can explian what's been happening with the Rams....mayn of the key players Warner and Faulk are injured...physically and emotionally. Another problem is that excuse for a coach Mike "joke" Martz. Any sencible coach would have left Bulger in until warner was fully recoverd emotionally and physically. Mike joke Martz is the main problem on the Rams team this year and was the reason they didn't win the superbowl in January. we need another Dick Vermill. The rams are definatly a very good team. Watch out for us next year!
lukskywlkr. 12/18/2002
Completely inept this year. Should have easily reached the playoffs, but underachievement did them in.
Jason1972 10/31/2002
They've come a long way compared to the early 90s and late 80s despite their sluggish start in '02. There are some hall of famers on this team, you know who I'm talking about.
marleyboy182 01/25/2002
they should let the patriots win the superbowl!
tttt 01/05/2002
there ok but i would rather see a long shot team like the bucs, 9ers or the patriots
otlady27 12/11/2001
Perhaps I'm partial because I grew up in St. Louis (and suffered through the years of mediocre play by the old football Cardinals) but the Rams RULE! I think they are the most dominant team playing right now. Their offense is unstoppable and the defense is so much better than last year- it's not giving up as many points and is easing the burden on the offense. They have such talented players, from Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk and Isaac Bruce on offense to Aeneas Williams, London Fletcher and Grant Wistrom on defense. They are all truly a united team set out to WIN! They totally deserved the Super Bowl win in 1999 and I'm praying they get back there this year- GO RAMS!!!
Stud_in_Americ a 11/28/2001
Ok, how can they not be rated No.1. Look at the defense, ranked 4th before their last game. Their offense is extremely overpowering. If they go one game without turning the ball over, they could win by 70.
dperry09 12/19/2000
The 2000 season is slightly disappointing, but I can't blame them with Faulk and Warner both missing games. Watch out for another close run at the Superbowl.

Defending Superbowl champs. Look awesome again.
kathystroppa 09/28/2000
For a Superbowl champion, they sure don't play like it. Sure, they win, but all their opponents have given them a good run for their money.
Munson 01/29/2000
The most dangerous offensive team in a while. They have so many weapons with Marshall Faulk leading the way. Their special teams is also very strong. Look for them to put up some points against Tennessee in the Super Bowl and beat them by more than 10.
magellan 01/26/2000
Who would've thought the Rams would be the dominant team in the NFL?
grea3175om 12/14/1999
The Rams are going to win the NFC West this year. Lead by a strong QB in Curt Warner.

I TIP MY HAT TO THE PLAYERS & THE COACHING STAFF. I HAVE NEVER BEEN A FAN OF VERMEIL BUT I WISH HIM THE BEST.
