 | portecrayon (11) 12/20/2006 | Ronnie Lott played cornerback and Safety and as far as I am concerned he is the best Defensive Back in NFL history.
No one and I do mean no one came close to hitting as hard as Ron Lott not only did he dominate but he was a Leader of the highest regards!
Lets not forget Lott's 63 interceptions either!
What more could you want in a player.
Ron Lott is a Super Bowl Champion and a memeber of the NFL HALL of FAME!

 | Biff Tannen (0) 08/07/2005 | Please don't forget all of his wonderful interceptions. Many great catches. This may have been the second most beautiful thing to see Ronnie do. The first was his awe inspiring hits.

 | sfalconer (22) 07/19/2005 | One of if not the best defensive players of all time. Nobody hit like Ronnie Lott.Update: Sabasimba, you say Ronnie Lott did not dominate, then if he didn't who did? That was what Ronnie did, if he hit you, you went down and you stayed down. This man lost a finger because he wanted to stay in a game.

 | irishgit (155) 02/17/2005 | Lott was a great player and one of the hardest hitters in the secondary in history. As an old cornerback, I loved to watch him work.

 | skinsfan (0) 10/23/2002 | A safety as the greates ever...you can't. And if it had to be one, it would be Atwater.

 | kumquat (0) 12/16/2000 | Ronnie is the toughest player alive. In the Super Bowl his finger was hanging by a thread. He just took it off, and played instead of saving his finger. Ronnie would play without arms to win. Ronnie has numerous rings.

 | mmoreno (0) 12/15/2000 | A straight player in the NFL. He scraped every play. He is the best safety of all time without a doubt. He even cut part of his finger off to play in the damn game. That's heart.

 | squeeks (0) 12/15/2000 | One of the hardest hitters the NFL has seen. Ronnie would play and win when no one else would. Ronnie wanted to win and that is what he did. Great defensive player.

 | westybob (0) 12/14/2000 | A definite Hall of Famer. Hardest hitting safety of all time, he invented the art of taking people's heads off. I remember how he would set the tone of games by nailing a receiver early and taking him out of the game.

 | d-licious (0) 12/14/2000 | In my opinion Ronnie Lott is one of the hardest hitting safeties that played the game, besides Jack Tatum. The reason why I like him is because we both play the same position and he revolutionized the safety position. Everyone who knows about football knows who Ronnie Lott is.

 | J Holmes (0) 12/13/2000 | He would play 110% every game. I remember when he hit some guy and gave himself a concussion. The man had power, speed, and was crazy. This guy would go all out every game for his fans and for himself.

 | REPenn (0) 12/13/2000 | A great leader and defender. He reigned over the middle. As far as defensive backs go, Lott had it all: speed, toughness, intelligence, size and leadership.

 | topplayah (0) 12/12/2000 | He came from the best team ever. He entered the Hall of Fame with Joe Montana. He was one of the hardest hitting free safeties in the NFL during that time period.

 | chauncy (0) 12/11/2000 | Hardest hitting DB ever. Very fast with good hands, and could cover great players. One of the NFL's 50 Greatest Players. One of the 49'ers greatest players. Now a Hall of Famer. Changed momentum in 1981 Super Bowl by laying a hit on the Bengals running back.

 | pshew (0) 11/22/2000 | Winner, one of the hardest hitters ever. A Dick Butkus in the secondary. Heart and soul of a defense. Played every down like it was his last!

 | rdoohole (0) 11/22/2000 | The best safety ever, Ronnie made receivers and tight ends scared to face the 49ers. He was big and would hit you, but also one of the best defenders as well.

 | rickrto (0) 11/22/2000 | Ronnie Lott is definitely amongst the greatest players to ever grace the football field. He is amongst the hardest hitters in NFL history and definitely a winner. Regardless of the score, Ronnie Lott played like there was no tomorrow. It's great to see he, Rice, and Montana will go down as the greatest players of their positions in NFL history.
