I bought a Microsoft Zune to replace my old MP3 player . The learning curve can be quite steep for anyone that is used to plugging in a device and dropping songs in. With Zune you need to download Zune software and sync all your songs. The software is not for a computer illiterate person like me. Many times my Zune did not connect to the software and I had to go on Zune forums to figure out the problem. Everything else on the Zune is awesome. The screen is smaller than I thought but I didn't purchase the MP3 player for its video capabilities. It is nice to have the album art displayed so you know what is playing. The buttons are overly sensitive and that can be a hassle. The Zune is not an iPod but is a good alternative. Overall I think iPod and Zune are overrated. You can get a nice SanDisk MP3 player for cheaper and they are much easier to use. All the the video capabilities and stuff is not a reason to purchase a high end MP3 player unless you like watching a video the size of a postage stamp. The iPod Touch might be better but I wouldn't pay over $200 for an MP3 player. Be smart and buy something you will use. IPod and Zune are just for status. Brands like Creative and SanDisk are cheaper and make great devices. Check other reviews and make your choice. I will probably stick with cheaper MP3 players in the future.
