Talent needs to built up again like he had in his earlier days with the Broncos.

He's lost his edge and needs to quit trying for instant Elway, who is overrated anyways. The picky Denver fans will run him and Cutler out of town in three years tops if they don't bring home the bacon.
rockjaw 09/16/2007
He's a weak effort! We'll see if he can win with anybody besides John Elway. I'm talking about getting beyond playing the AFC in the Play-Offs. Oh, and by the way Denver fans how do you feel about beating the Bills and the Raiders at the end of the game because we know there's two of the top notch teams in the NFL? You guys at best are at the middle of the pack when it comes to your ranking. You'll get killed by the Chargers.............thankfully!

Shanahan has been a great coach throughout his tenure with the Broncos. He is a Super Bowl winner, and his teams almost always have winning seasons. The sustained excellence that the Broncos have had with Shanahan is remarkable.

1 losing season in Denver. Rebuit on the run without an imbarrassing season. Doesn't jump ship like other rats (Parcells).

The entire Pat Bolin "team" is awesome - beginning with Pat himself and a coaching team well worthy of the 5 stars!!

Excellent at developing running backs, but acts too smart for his own good. For instance, he made the grave mistake of drafting the unproven, out of shape, inexperienced Maurice Clarret who was slower at RB than some linemen at the combine. UPDATE: Looks like I was right. Maurice Clarett didn't even make the team.

he'll take any running back and make them a pro bowler

No doubt about it, the best....

I am not a coach but I think Mike's time as a coach should have been over last year -- any time you run a running play with 20 some seconds left on the clock when you could have kicked a field goal and won the game --- why why why -- Mike decisions like this are made by rookie coaches --

Shanahan has won two Super Bowls, two more than many of the coaches rated above him. The Broncos are quite competitive year end, year out.
mccarthd26 04/07/2004
Without Elway, Davis, and Alex Gibbs... what has he done??? Oh that's right, NOTHING. The Broncos will never win a playoff game again with him as coach.

i cant stand him, but he is solid as a coach. he consistantly puts out a decent team.-go raiders

IDIOT

He is and will be the best coach when he retires..trust me, especially when he wins another super bowl and this time without elway everyone will know what I'm talking about...He has the respect of his players and has the best offensive mind in football...I swear on my grave that he will never lose a superbowl game in his life.....2 weeks of preperation for this genius is enough time for him to disect the best defense in the NFL......They don't call him MASTERMIND for nothing!
Gups11 01/29/2003
The Master Mind. The most creative and he has the respect of his players, and that is not common.

Shanahan is nothing as a coach. He did well last year, but that was because he had a great (one of the best) quarterback...with Elway. Without him, Denver is nothing.
