NIGHTMARE ON MAPLE STREET

As a six-year tenant of one of Mr. Chung's buildings, I have nothing but horror stories. It goes way beyond crappy repairs that take forever: in order to drive out long-standing rent-controlled tenants, George Chung Realty rents to a parade of criminals and mental patients.

In the six years that I've lived in my ten-unit building, five nightmare tenants have been taken away in handcuffs after disrupting the peace, threatening and in one case assaulting other tenants. In the past month alone (May 2009) the police have been called six times and there have been two arrests.

We, the law-abiding tenants have repeatedly accused Mr. Chung of deliberately seeking out a criminal element, to which he replies "Prove it."

I would strongly advise against renting anything from George Chung Realty.

One of the worst experiences I've ever had in over thirty years of renting on both coasts. These people are thugs.
