 | GenghisTheHun (177) 12/17/2007 | I have seen him in person, and he is as steady as a rock even when he gets picked as he does often enough.
I am fortunate to have seen such greatness.

 | badgerfan (5) 12/17/2007 | Though he doesn't seem to me to be a better quarterback than Marino, the numbers don't lie. Favre could play until he is in his mid-fortys and still be in the top half of the league easily. He is an irreplacable face in this league.

 | ATLvick7 (0) 04/29/2006 | Brette was a joke this year but his recievers handed him the bad rep on a silver platter w/ a silver spoon. He had no one 2 get open so was forced to get rid of the ball in tight places, but now javon walker is gone and if Farve can pick up some recievers he will be back 2 only getting 1 int a game in stead of 5.

 | Ih8rateitall (5) 03/08/2006 | The cocky Green Bay fans made me turn on Farve. That and his "duck" wobblers, or passes he chucks blindy in the air! The Packer fans are the worst, "YOU CAN'T BLAME FAVRE, HIS RECEIVERS SUCK!" "HEY MAN, FAVRE IS THE MAN!" "I'D LET BRETT FAVRE MAKE MY CHEESE WHOO!" The Packer ans are too loyal to Favre, and too hard on the team. He can do no wrong according to Packer fans. Now I usually love my athletes all American boys, however, Packer fans blindness, and the butt kissing media made me turn on Favre. There's no pocket awareness, no plan, he decides to chuck the ball in the air and doesn't care about the consequences. He may look the same, but he isn't the same favre we all knew in his prime.

 | trebon1038 (65) 02/16/2006 | Though his heart isn't in it like it was, this man was one of the best to ever play the game. He has nothing to be a shamed of if he retires on the note of how bad last season was.

 | asskickingboots (17) 01/18/2006 | If I was rating the Favre of yesteryear, it'd be a 4 or a 5. He's always been overhyped, but still not too far away from the hype. For example, Trent Green has a higher career passer rating, and not many people claim him to be the best QB ever, unlike Favre. That's what they call hype.
Rating the Favre of today, not as hot, but still miles from sucking. If he were a young, developing QB putting up his numbers, he'd be a 4. However, he's a veteran who's probably on his last year, so there's less upside. At least he'll be around to give Aaron Rogers some pointers and quality time on the bench before he leaves.
He's decided to very openly and smugly say that he isn't going to mentor Aaron Rogers... so much for the team leader image everybody portrays him having.
UPDATE: Wow... Favre did God awful this year. He threw a total of 29 interceptions on the season, easily leadign the league. In his last 10 games he threw 5, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 1, 2, 4, and 1 interception, a total of 20 in that stretch. Mind you those 20 INTS would be enough to lead the NFL by itself. Hell, it was just as many INTs as Jake Plummer and Kerry Collins had all of last season.
I don't think it's unreasonable to say Favre's better days are behind him.

 | vick7 (0) 12/21/2005 | The only reason Brette even got a 2 is b/c he is a gunslinger. He is the most overrated sports figure in the world. He leads the league now (Dec 21, 2005)
with INT's(24) and is a career high. What's bad is i like Farve alot but i want to set the record straight and say he was good but not great, I don't care how many MVP awards he has won he has thrown at least 1 INT almost every game.

 | DeLLBerto (0) 12/08/2005 | Brett's the toughest QB to ever play football, bar none. Who can argue with the consecutive games streak? Look at his numbers, a higher career completion rate then Marino 1 Super Bowl, 3 MVPs.. I mean the guy was unstoppable in his prime. He's not quite what he used to be, but I'd still take him over at least 26 teams starting QBs.

His comments Thursday night on National TV regarding Aaron Rodgers... I have no responsibility to teach him.. typify the spoiled and selfish NFL player of today. When Brett retires, the game will never see a another player like him.

 | Truth Seeker (0) 03/10/2005 | Easily the best QB to ever play the game. And I'd dare say easily one of the 10 best players ever in the league. And I'm taking this way back to 1921, baby.
QB argument? I'll cite the laudations of such greats as Marino, Theisman, Tarkinton, Starr, Young, Fouts, etc. whom have all stated the ole' #4 is one of the greastest to ever play the game regarless of position.
Those opinions seem to not only outweigh whatever we say here, but cement the fact that Brett is in a legue of his own.
Look, there are freaking linebackers such as Ray Nitschke and Dick Butkus that didn't play as many consecutive games as Favre. All 3 of those had major injuries at some point in their careers. But guess who suited up the next week. That's right. Number 4.
I'm dreading the day when Favre isn't in the starting lineup for a game, as it will mean he's retired. I just hope it'll be another year before facing that. Good Christ that's going to be a hard, whisky-drinking day.

 | seximexiladi (0) 12/20/2004 | He's an awsome QB. Although I love the Tampa Bay Buccanneers, I would love to see Green Bay do well in the playoffs. Brett Favre is a QB that has made some history and probally will continue to. He's especially playing well for his age (has been in the NFL for about 15 years). He makes some smart decisions on the field. Anyway, he has had about 40 or more consecutive games with one or more touchdowns (that record was washed away a few weeks ago by the Eagles).

 | Favrelous (0) 11/17/2004 | Brett Favre is the best quarterback to ever play the game. Over coming all the tragedies in his life and still putting up the numbers he is is just crazy. | chin (0) 10/27/2004 | Brett is an amazing Quarterback. He is throwing as well as he ever has in his career. Now that he finally has a few receivers to throw to you'll see huge numbers. Even when he was throwing to no-name receivers, he made them look like pro-bowlers. He simply makes everyone around him great. Stick him with some already great receivers and you'd see ridiculous numbers. Plus he just makes the game fun to watch. He's like a kid out there. As long as he doesn't retire anytime soon, he will smash records

 | bbutler76 (7) 09/02/2004 | I love Favre and the Packers. Brett still has a gun and can make all the throws. He doesn't move as well as used to but that matters little because that has never really been part of his game. Brett still makes too many stupid mistakes; ie throwing into double coverage. Still one of the best and he's one of the reasons why the Packers have been solid the last 10 years. Future Hall Of Famer without a doubt.

 | footballhead99 (0) 08/12/2004 | Brett Favre is the best period. First of all, the guy's entertaining. Back when Sapp was with the Bucs in Green Bay's division, Favre Stiff-Armed him to the ground while he was rushing him! And not only that, after the play, he'd get in Warren Sapp's face and trash talk him! Show me another quarterback that can pull that off successfully. Not only that, the guy makes throws no other quarterback can throw. And forget about everyone saying he throws too many INT's. Yes, he did throw some bad passes, but a lot of them had to do with his broken thumb. And at least half of those other INT's were either A. a bomb thrown on third and long (which really don't hurt you), B. thrown up in the air at the end of the half, or C. tipped off a recievers hand and then intercepted. At the end of the season, however, this stopped happening, and the recievers started to step up. Expect this year to be an off-the-chart year for Favre, because of how dependable the recieving corp has been lately.

 | Cannonball20 (0) 05/02/2004 | Brett is the best ever. He's put up unbelievable numbers over his career and he would have more rings if it wasn't for the pathetic defenses he's been stuck with the last several years. When he had a good defense he won the Super Bowl and a year later, lost barely because Packer D couldn't stop Terrell Davis. The year after that he was on his way to another Super Bowl but was robbed by a moron ref who ruled Rice's fumble not a fumble. Last year was close, but again the Defense screwed up. 4th and 26! C'mon. Yeah that last throw of his was bad but it should have never gotten to that point. I feel so sorry for him being stuck with such crappy defenses all the time. He deserves better. I hope he plays a few more years. He's still the best. He lead the league in TD passes again last year. People that say he's washed up are on drugs. A few more years and he'll have every record in the book including Marino's career TD passes. Go Favre!

 | Favreisthemaster4 (0) 03/23/2004 | (every time you see a dash in this, imagine a swear. i had clean my language up for this site to accept my thoughts and comment on the greatest player ever)
The single greatest player or man of all-time. He is the Packers. They should change their names to the Green Bay Favres. He is the toughest, hardest working, and best player in the league by far. vtsciencenerd is a moron. Favre lead the d--n league in touchdown passes with a broken thumb on his THROWING hand. Not many other QB's around the league would've even played. He has never had a losing season and has one of the best winning pecentages of any QB all-time. He has had no reciever to throw to ever (besides Sterling Sharpe for a year and a half) and he has consistently won. Anyone who does'nt give him a five knows abolutely nothing about the game and they should have prosthetic nuts sewn on because they weren't born with any to begin with. Those dumb-ss Bears fans are all giving him a one beacause Favre kicks their p-ssy -sses every year and we always make it to the playofs and they never do. F--k Off Bear p-ssies. Favre could beat you by himself playing offense and defense. Urlacher is a p-ssy. And who was your last QB? Kordell? Yeah that's what I thought. Favre's stats, streak, toughness, bad-ssness, and competitiveness speak for themselves. He is the greatest player, for the greatest franchise, in the greatest league, in the greatest sport on the planet earth. This makes him the greatest man in history. I can't wait until next year when he wins his 4th MVP and wins another Super Bowl, and shows all the p-ssies how it's down. He deserves more than a five, five thousand wouldn't even begin to describe how great the man is. Favre is God!

 | nmysz (0) 03/17/2004 | Possibly the greatest football player ever. Really has never had a great receiving core. This is no doubt the reason for a lot of his interceptions. He is the reason why the Packers have been a .500 or better team since 1992.
