I agree with Wingnut. I bought the saw for the exact same reason. After looking around, this was the least expensive saw with decent power and since I needed it for one current job, I took a chance on it. No problems at all with it. Whatever reason has made this a remanufactured product, Skil has done a good job to provide a like new product. Not to mention it comes in a carrying bag and it now cost less then when I bought it. Lucky you.

I haven't needed a Sawzall during 5 years of home ownership and the construction of one experimental airplane. Finally I came across a job that would just be much easier with one and I could coordinate borrowing one soon enough. I gambled on the least expensive one that seemed decent and I am very happy with the results. This saw is just as good as the DeWalt one's I've borrowed before. Highly recommend.
