Us Virgins ROCK! Virgos make great pop singers (Michael Jackson, Beyonce) but we are a little crazy. We might seem retiring or quiet, but on stage we really TURN IT ON.

People hate us because they think "we act like we are better than other people." But what if we are better?

The virgo people I knew were really ruthless and I don't think they understand human suffering or emotions. Instead of empathize they criticize and extremely narrow minded. You will probably never find a virgo who's not picky which is why most virgo women are single. If they find something about you that they don't like they will let you know disregarding of how it makes you feel. They are the kind of people who want everything their way everything perfect for them but how they are to others are far from perfect, my dad is a virgo hes abusive without emotions and other virgos that I knew were selfish and plain evil stay away from virgos.

Original Comment, 8/17/03: Well, I'm not much of a believer of astrology, since most descriptions of the sign personalities are so vague they can fit anyone who really wants to believe they are like that, plus there is no scientific evidence to really back any of this up. But, I'll go on what I know: Virgos are supposed to be very picky, uptight, punctual, overly neat, quiet, nerdy, and critical. However, almost every Virgo I know is extremely laid back, go-with-the-flow kind of people who, although they are particular about how they do things and tend to be very studious, don't really care what other people do. (Except for one, but he had some issues) Virgos are said to dress simply (typically subtle, nothing that draws too much attention), and for the most part I guess that seems to be the case. Most Virgos I know are the quiet-observant type, true, but there were a few who were huge attention-wanters and loud as anything. I don't believe on judging anyone by when they were born (which, essentially, astrology leads to), but, being a Virgo myself and being that I'm running out of things to rate on here, I figure I'd put in my share of comments here.

Virgo men are whinners! Complain about how overworked and overtasked they are, but usually they don't do much worthy of such complaints. Most act as if they were in the mafia or something really shady, when they've only been in an entry level sys admin position for the past 15 years. Always complaining about being passed over. Will dwell on ex-girlfriends for years and ruin plenty of prospective new relationships with their whining. Virgo women are loyal friends but don't do better than them or they will kick you to the curb. They like to keep friends around that make them look sweet, innocent and accomplished... not anyone who is going to blow their cover... they'll cut you out in a heartbeat or secretly sabatoge you.

Virgos are amazingly generous and loyal friends they have a very unique way of looking at life and people and are just the most fun ever!!! And im a Leo...

My very best friend is a Virgo. She is the best person you'd ever want to meet. It amazes me just how negative some people are about everyone else except themselves.

Virgoes embody a lot of good qualities such as industriousness, humility and a love of cleanliness and good health, but their negativity and pettiness prevents them from becoming great. Sometimes Virgoes have a tendency to be in everybody's business keeping them in check when they need to pay more attention to fixing their own problems. I think they make good friends, but their tendency to cut themselves down and overly critical nature makes me wanna to keep my distance from them because that rubs off on you. Virgo men do not make good dates: They are CHEAP! I can't stand cheap men. There is a reason why they call stinginess being mean. They're kinky but stiff in bed. Weird combo.

Predictive ability of horoscopes has been found to be only 10% accurate (Scientific analizis). Do this experiment don't look at your horoscope for a few weeks but keep them. Keep a record of what happenes to you. then after a few weeks compare what happened to your past horoscopes. You'll be amazed at how inacurate they are. Wake up people, it is a rip.

Why are people coming here leaving bad comments about Virgos? Yeah we're not perfect but neither are you. I do tend to be a little critical and very picky. But I am loyal, honest, hardworking and kind. So for all you people who talk about the bad in us, I'll look up your sign and find the bad in you. And I agree, Virgos rule!

I have read all the posts here and I have to admit, most of them are very accurate. I, myself, am a typical Virgo, being born right in the smack of the range. Just a couple things I want to add. All Virgos need to be happy is reassurance. Its simple. Knowing they are loved will do wonders for erasing our anxiety and throwing it right out the window, saving us a lot of anguish. The only thing...Virgos have a tremendous amount of PRIDE. Something they wont give up even after everything else has been torn away. Therefore, they wont ask for it. At least not in words. You will see it in our eyes. So, please, dont dismiss us as cold, aloof, picky people. We suffer as much as the next person. We just dont see the need to bother others with our problems. And we love those around as much as the next sign, sometimes to the point of utter devotion. I think virgos are wonderful people. The only hard part if getting us to open our door, peek out at you and invite you into our goofy, loving, eccentric world. There is no such thing as a boring Virgo. Every single one of us has a zany side, only we are unable to show it unless we know you will accept the zany with the comtemplative side of us as well. Too many times, potential relationships have been ruined because the other did not accept my shyness & anxiety & instead of understanding why, they thought I changed. I did not, I was showing both my sides and until someone accepts both, I cannot be myself. Just love us, all our sides as we do yours. You will be suprised, trust me. PS: Soryy this is so long. I know I said only a couple things but its true, Virgos are terrible talkative, LOL.

How ironic it is that Freddie Mercury was ruled by Virgo---the Virgin?! (If you don't get the joke, see me.) Virgoans are supposed to be hardworking, and they like to criticize. These are wonderful traits. They have to be careful, apparently, that their criticism does not hurt others. Now what's wrong with a little criticism? They are ruled by the planet Mercury (see above). I don't see much bad in Virgoans. Why is Virgo so far down on the list?

First of all, you can not judge a person by their sun sign. The sun sign is only one component of a person's chart. Virgos have received a blanket bad image because they have a very strong work ethic, like things to be done correctly, and prefer order over chaos. How terrible! Give Virgos a break. Pisces will go where their bread is buttered (i.e. no loyalty), Libra can never make a decision, and Geminis are different people daily. Leos are aggressive and vain. Stop picking on the sign that performs well, excepts others to perform well, is loyal, respectful of others, and will never turn his back on a friend. Who's doing the rating in here?

Hey, what the heck is going on here? What is up with Miss Cleo, Janey_Lane there and her depiction of Virgos? Being a Virgo, I would have to say that her analysis is a bit off base. And what is with the rest of you reviewers? You can give the Virgos 1* but not back up your opinion with a comment. In my experience, Virgos do like things in order however, that doesn't mean that they are anal perfectionists. Most Virgos that I know (including myself) have there own sense of organization that doesn't necessarily fit the norm. I am one of those people that has different piles of clutter that may look like a mess, but ask me where that canceled check from 1988 is and I can probably find it for you. I am laid back and not a stickler for perfection. I may be critical of myself..however I never judge others actions and decisions. I never criticize others and don't expect too much of the people around me..unless you consider loyalty, respect and honesty to be too much. I think Janey_Lane may have had a poor experience with a certain Virgo, but don't take it out on the rest of us. If you want to put a blanket statement on all Virgos (which is difficult) you can say that they prize organization, loyalty and honesty. Are quiet at first, but if you earn their trust and respect, you will have a loyal friend for life. They tend to be listeners rather than advice givers. Virgos Rule!

The Virgo is thorough, hardworking and ambitious. Everything has to be perfect for the Virgo, they are metodical and efficiant but can get too picky when they critically investigate every little detail in their surroundings. They are absolutely not dreamers, but practical. They give the impression of being very shy and somewhat cold but amongst their loved ones they're frisky and talkative. The Virgo is very attentive and talented, but reserved. Quietly they watch their surroundings more than act in it themselves. They also have tremendous demands upon themselves and can have low self-esteem. They are seldom satisfied with themselves nor the work they do. Maybe that's why they are so critical against everyone else.
