 | lasmo (0) 09/21/2006 | Next to Jerry Lucas, Billl Walton was the most dominant center and college player of all time. Both were 2-time College Player of the Year and both shot in the mid 60% in field goals with Walton shooting a higher percentage but much later than Lucas who did it in 1960-61-62 when the national record was 57%. Lucas was the better rebounder but both had great, great outlet passes off of rebounds. The great Coach Wooden who coached Walton said that Bill Walton was the best high post player ever and Jerry Lucas the best low post player ever. Walton's great game against Memphis State will stand out in my mind forever with something like 21 of 22 field goals going in...INCREDIBLE!!! I am a little partial towards Lucas by an inch but these 2 were the best of the best and the most dominant players in college basketball ever!!!

 | ccessna (0) 03/02/2005 | To see him rated at 3.84 means there are a lot of people that must be giving him 2s and 3s. Wow. It is either people who don't like him as an announcer, only knew him from NBA days, or have never heard of him as a player. Easily one of the top 5 college players ever!

 | Solenoid DH (19) 05/26/2004 | If anyone rates him less than 5 stars, they don't remember him like I do. Not only was he good in all aspects of the game, but he had the uncanny ability to always know where his team mates were on the floor, so he could quickly throw a cross court pass after a rebound.

 | CapAnson (1) 04/30/2004 | The only player I could say for SURE was better than Walton would be Alcindor.

 | bigjohnson (0) 04/21/2003 | Greatest college center to ever play with the exception of Lew Alcindor. Both UCLA ceneters best college centers without question. It's a shame Waltons was injured and never really was the same after that.

 | mcstowy (0) 11/01/2002 | Either he or Alcindor is the best college player ever. 21 for 22 from the field in the title game. Unbeleivable.
