 | BallerNC01 (0) 11/09/2007 | Please people...this is for COLLEGE basketball players of all-time. Yes, he is probably the best basketball player of all time because of his career in the NBA, and he definitely was a great college basketball player. I wouldn't rate him a "1" other than the fact that he has been so over-rated and I feel that I need to bring him down a few notches. There have been SEVERAL basketball players that preformed better at the college level than Jordan. I'm sure he would admit that himself.

 | JohnG (0) 05/10/2006 | The most overrated college basketball player of all time. He doesn't deserve to be in the top 10. Alcindor, Walton, Maravich, Laetner, Bird, Russell, Robertson, Duncan, Lucas, and Ewing, among MANY others, have a better college legacy. The fact that Jordan is one of the top 5 greatest pro players of all time should have no bearing on how people remember his college career. People always forget that James Worthy was the All-American on the 1982 championship Tarheel team, not Jordan. Jordan just played a supporting role. People talk about his legendary ability to "will his team to victory", but both the years he was the team's leader his team, with a #1 and #2 seeding, failed to make the Final Four. Jordan was a very good college player, but doesn't deserve to be in the pantheon of the greats.

 | Dukesucks (4) 02/11/2006 | Michael Jordan is the greatest person to ever play the sport of basketball. He is better than any Duke player ever! And the great thing is, he came from UNC Chapel Hill baby!

 | Tabeman (0) 10/15/2005 | Ok people I am the biggest damn MJ fan ever and I am on here to tell you alittle fact. I am not sayin that Jordan was the greatest College player BUT he def. isn't "Overrated". the guys got College Player of the year 2 years in arow and got Championship MVP in 1982 when they won the finals when he made the final shot. Sooooo before ya'll start actin like you know your ish get the facts then talk your ish. just remember you don't have to be the best in college to be the best of all time.

 | bluetarbaby (8) 04/21/2005 | Jordan is obviously the greatest basketball player of all time. That can not be disputed. But he is not the greatest college player of all time. Actually, he's not the top Carolina player of all time. I would say Ford, Scott, Cunningham, Jamison, and then Jordan. Again, I'm not saying he's not the best of all time,- that would make me a moron. IN COLLEGE. I'm sure however, that he could eat anybody on this list alive two years into his NBA career. The same goes for guys like Shaq and Duncan, given the evolution of the basketball body. Those two guys would've destroyed Walton, Chamberlain, etc. If you dispute that, you're a moron. It's not new school vs. old school or any thinking like that. If you understand the game, and are'nt just hanging on to old memories, be logical and visualize Wilt guarding Shaq, the athletic quick Payton guarding slow small geek Cousy. Think about it. Guys are MUCH bigger, stronger, quicker, and just plain better now. Man, I bet even a guy like Sean May could dominate Wilt at the height of his career. He'd slap him away like a fly. What were those guys in those days?- 6 ft 11, 220 lbs at the biggest?

 | Thedondadda823 (0) 04/08/2005 | Here is the deal, Micheal Jordan drew more double teams, more traps, and more attention that a 7'0 footer could at his best. Just cuase he didn't average 40 points a game doesn't mean a thing, he still has a ring

 | louiethe20th (74) 03/14/2005 | Purely as a college player I can't put Mike up in the top 10.He did some good things at UNC,but not to warrant All- Time status.

 | CapAnson (1) 04/30/2004 | No, no, no! Jordan as a college player was not in the top ten, people always confuse his college career with his NBA career and vote him best college player in history and junk like that.. I would really rate him a 3 but I'll give a 1 just to help get him in line.

 | al_20176 (0) 11/03/2003 | He was nothing compared to Sampson while he was at UNC. As an NBA player, he's the best of all time, but back in his college days, Ralph would've killed him.

 | bfraz (0) 06/04/2003 | My ranking is in regard to his ranking on this poll[which is terrible].Although avery good college player he should come close to Walton or Alcindor as acollege player.

 | LaTechBulldawg (0) 04/22/2003 | Excellent college player, but proved to be even better when he had better players around him. His great college career was overshadowed by an excellent group of college players during his time.

 | uncleroger (0) 04/17/2003 | Michael was a great Pro. He was a good college player. Sam Bowie was drafted ahead of him, for chrissake! He isn't one of the top 10 ACC players, much less the 3rd best all time! What are you folks smoking?

 | steppenwolf (0) 03/26/2003 | Jordan was a great college player. I believe he was national player of the year in 1984, and he was an all-american. However, based just on his collegiate career, he was not the best ever in college. I would put him in the top 10, but even Jordan himself would rate David Thompson ahead of himself.

 | youngpack (0) 03/26/2003 | if you rank MJ as the greatest College player then you're flat out believing his post NCAA Nike Gatorade hype
he never even got national player of the year and averaged 17 pts a game
he developed into the greatest PROFESSIONAL player of all time, but was NEVER the greatest college player
the Jordan hype is ridiculous and half the youngsters that obviously voted don't remember ANYTHING old school.

 | crowbar (0) 12/05/2002 | I never thought I would say overrated and M.Jordan in the same sentence, even same paragraph, but as far as this list goes everyone has overrated M.J. Maybe top 10, but he had the support of Worthy and Perkins, and Sleepy Floyd (i believe), all of whom received much attention from the opposing coach. People have a tendency to simplify the "greatest NBA player ever" title and apply it to all walks of life. Jordan is overrated in this list. Manning was better. Hell, Laetner and G.Robinson might have even been better overall players. Thats my opinio though.

 | mcstowy (0) 11/01/2002 | Only 1 championship in 3 years and not even the best player on that team (James Worthy was). As a college player, Jordan doesn't even belong in this discussion.
