great power and flawless technique. he beat the best of his day and he enjoyed the hell out of giving some1 a good beating. his only flaw was he was kind slow, both his handspeed and footspeed. the only middleweights who could beat monzon are marvin hagler and sugar ray robinson.

Monzon's era may not have been the pinnacle of middleweights, but there were still several first-rate fighters in his class. And he dominated like few boxers before or since. A great puncher who relentlessly stalked his opponents, he deserves much more recognition than he's received over the years.

Only the greatest middleweight of all time! Fact 1--Undefeated over the course of his last 70 plus fights spanning 14 years. Fact 2--Defended his title against the top fighters, ducking no one; Briscoe, Valdez, Napoles, Mundine, Griffith, Tonna, Benvenutti are just a sample of his many victims. Fact 3--Retired from boxing as undisputed middleweight champ. Try topping that resume!!!
