One of the greatest light heavyweights and one of the least appreciated. He wasn’t flashy, could be awkward at times, and took a workman like approach into the ring. He could punch with both hands, although best known for the “Skinks Jinxs” his overhand right. Widely criticized for his performance against Mike Tyson, however I cannot forget his body of work as a light heavyweight where as I recall he never lost.

This guy is a friggin bum. Why is he on this list. The only big fights hes won were fixed against Holmes. I would fight this guy is a telephone booth. What a joke. He was so afraid of Tyson he folded. Most overrated Heavyweight of all time.

A very awkward fighte, sometimes he could throw a good punch, but his style was terrible. I don't know who trained him. For the most part he does'nt move or fight like a trained boxer.

was given a couple of lucky decisions against holmes and get spanked by the young and fast mike tyson

Very possibly the greatest lightheavyweight. Should be rated higher.

he had a very good right cross, he could box, and if he needed to, he could partially fight. michael wusnt too good and recovering. EXAMPLE: his last fight wus against mike tyson. tyson knocked him down twice and knocked him out in the first round. the whole fight wus 91 seconds long. spinks retired after the fight. apparently, he never heard of the saying get back on the horse that threw you

Crap.

Why is his name even mentioned here? He's only remembered for losing to some of the best. As a contender he was ok, and he does provide a certain transition from one era to the next... but he lost on both end and never had the skill or toughness to stand up against most of the others on this list.

Tyson found the flaw in his game...his head.

Remember that S.I. before the Tyson fight where Spinks talked about how he was terrified he might die, or something along those lines... It was hardly a surprise when he went down after less than a minute. What a loser.
