In terms of heart this man is a miniature version of Evander Holyfield. and that's saying alot. In terms of overall skill and ability. I would have to rate him ,a notch, below the elites. But a great and exciting fighter none the less.

I'll give gatti credit he is a very tough fighter, very exciting and he dodges nobody but he is not one of the best fighters in boxing today because he shows he cannot defeat a top level opponent he lost 7 fights in his prime got destroyed by mayweather and oscar and he couldn't beat ricky hatton, judah or cotto because their skill levels would be too much for him, gatti is a tough fighter but he shows he has alot of flaws against top notch fighters.

fans never got cheated with this warrior, never claimed to be great, but always put on a war.their has to be a place in the hall of fame for him.he should have fought hatton instead of mayweather.

One of, if not the most exciting boxer today. I hope he and PBF get a chance to throw down. Instant Classic regardless of who wins(probably PBF).

hes vicious, hes got heart, hes got stamina, he sure as hell has skill, and he has the tools to be one of the greatest lights/welters of all time. hes a great slugger, but he needs to put even more muscle into his power punches. if hes guna fight like a slugger, hes got to have a sluggers punch, not a boxers punch. awsome fights with ward (im glad he won two of those three fights). i just wish he put oscar in his place and beat him.

Arturo has become a sort of household name with all boxing fans with his memorable fights with Micky Ward. He brings exctiment to nearly all of his fights win or lose. But the thing i have noticed is people tend to get a bit confused between an exciting fighter and a brilliant fighter and over rate him with comments that he's the best in the world. Whenever Arturo has face the elite in whatever division he has been in he got beat convincingly. He hasnt quite had the ability to cope with brilliant fighters. I love him for the excitment he brings and the fact he defines what boxing is about. He is a true Rocky Balboa...... and a peoples champion!!!

arturo gatti is the best boxer, in the world, his style, his expertese is just too much. he might lose a fight here and there, but he still has the heart like a lion, oscar, u wouldnt want to get in the ring with him again, his new style, would destroy oscar dela hoya, in less then 10 rounds,

ARTURO GATTI has to be the very best boxer today and by far the most entertaining to watch. He never lost a fight. Bias judges, poor referrees and a cornermen throwing the towel are no contest fights. Gatti vs. de la hoya should have not be stopped. Gatti hurt de la hoya in several occassions. I was there in MGM Las Vegas and Arturo Gatti stupid coach simply threw the fight away. If the fight continued, I'm convince Arturo Gatti would have knocked out de la hoya. Obviously, a rematch should have occurred, but de la hoya is frightfully fearing him. Gatti's best will best anyones best whether camacho, kostya, vargas, de la hoya... Arturo Gatti, a warrior and a winner. Alvin

Arturo Gatti is probably the most entertaining fighter since Rocky Graziano. But like Graziano I think he made his fights a lot better than his fighting abilities. Yes he outboxed Micky Ward pretty bad the second time but this Micky Ward, who almost lost to journey man Emmanual Burton, beat him the first time. The Micky Ward fight was supposed to be a fairly easy one for him, but he took a pretty good beatings in some of those rounds.

He has the heart of a giant. I'll pull for Gatti against anyone. I would love to see him beat up Camacho.

A true throw-back fighter, nothing fancy just efficent. And there is noone in his weight class that can put him down, win or lose, Gatti will take you the distance. This is the kind of fighter noone wants to fight. Kill OSCAR!!!!!
