 | Nillon24 (5) 12/12/2007 | I would like to put ot rest the myth that DLH got ripped off in his second fight with Mosley. Mosley landed the cleaner, harder punches throughout the fight, and thats how you win professional boxing matches, not by simply making contact with the other guy. DLH would have won if it were an amatuer fight because he connected more, but compubox does not measure the strength or damage of a punch. Compubox means NOTHING in scoring a fight!!!. Its just window dressing for stat hounds. Thats all!!! Their were 16 sportswriters with their scorecards in "the Ring" magazine, and 11 of them had it for Mosley, 3 for DLH, and 2 had it a draw. Oscar lost fair and square...GET OVER IT!!!!!

 | Randyman (113) 07/16/2006 | Looks like I might get my wish yet, a fight between Mosely and Mayweather. I thought Shane looked great against Mosely. I'll be pulling for him against Mayweather, if it happens, or anyone else for that matter (except Oscar). If he beats Mayweather he'll definately get a five.
O.C. A near great fighter that should have stayed at Jr. Welter. Then we might have seen Mosely vs Mayweather. That might have been a classic, but only at that weight. He beat De La Hoya in their first fight, but lost in the second, regardless of the decision. Mosely is a very deserving young fighter and I hope he can resurrect his career.

 | chucktown asassin (0) 12/29/2005 | sugar shane is one of the most courageous and exciting fighters today because he never dodges any opponents he showed guts against forrest and i believe shane did a good job in the second fight against winky wright and i believe he won the second fight with winky but shane has come back strong winning has last two fights but if he defeats vargas then he'll be considered a top fighter again and maybe he'll fighter judah or mayweather in the future to prove he's one of the all-time greats.

 | Killa11 (0) 02/21/2005 | Please retire. Please. I am so sick of hearing this guy talk, it makes me ill. Can not I repeat can not adjust to a style. Vernon Forrest killed him twice. as well as WINKY (who). Has judges to thank for 2 gifts against De La Hoya.

 | theauthor (0) 08/23/2004 | He is an entertaining fighter who seeks KO victories, but Vernon Forest and Winky Wright exposed him as a fighter who has trouble adjusting to different styles. Will beat DeLaHoya any day though. He has the athletic attributes(speed more than strength) but just needs to show that he is not a one-dimensional fighter.

 | callitdowntheline75 (74) 08/21/2004 | Every fighter has his cross to bear in the ring. The great Roy Jones was finally silenced by a hungry Antonio Tarver (though he is still one of the greatest fighters of all-time), Muhammad Ali lost to a prime Larry Holmes, Sugar Ray Robinson lost to journey fighter Randy Turpin- and so on. Shane Mosley losing to both Winky Wright and Vernon Forrest proves the adage that styles make fights, and his style could not adjust to these fighters. Nevertheless, 'Sugar' Shane is a very good fighter and his accomplishments are numerous. And if he can learn from these losses, he may one day be considered one of the greatest boxers of all-time.

 | ET1980 (0) 08/04/2004 | Very good boxer. He shouldn't have moved up so high in weight, neutralizing his style. He should have stayed at lightweight/junior welterweight.

 | boxingboy18966 (0) 06/25/2004 | Very over-rated. Dela Hoya was his only win in a while. He just lost to Winky Wright. Definately not one of the best current boxers.

 | jaywilton (31) 06/15/2004 | Aside from his gift decision win in the second Dela Hoya fight, Mosley hasn't won a fight in years.

 | machievellii (0) 03/24/2004 | Shane Mosley showed potential once but now has the problem of getting very discouraged in the ring if he cant figure a fighter out. He wears his disappointment on his face during the fight which in turn boosts his opponents confidence. Shane has amazing speed and is a good boxer but his chin is questionable. I disagreed with his last win over Oscar De La Hoya and I was glad to see Winky Wright put Shane's skills in perspective before Trinidad did.

 | Jones-PFP (0) 07/18/2003 | Obviously we have some true fans out there, who don´t really care how or to whom their fighters lose. Even though I consider Shane Mosley to be an excellent fighter, there is no way in hell you can give somebody a five star rating after losing, not once, but TWICE against the same person (Forrest). And for those Tito fans out there, he was totally outclassed by Hopkins, so let it go. Between Mosley and Trinidad, I would say definitely Mosley, given that he was the only one to convincingly defeat De La Hoya.

 | EDDIETHEGREAT (0) 02/25/2003 | In my very educated opinion he is the second greatest pound for pound fighter of the last 5 years, he is only behind RJJ in terms of skills displayed and talent, so what do you think?

 | SugarShanefan (0) 02/06/2003 | Where is all this Zab Judah beating Shane Mosley talk coming from? I mean what would even make you think Judah is in the same class with Shane? I wish Judah would find it in himself to step in the ring with Shane Mosley cause my mans KO's are usually fun to watch and I would do anything to see the look on Judah's face as he was falling to the canvas. You know what he probably wouldn't even hit the canvas, Shane would probably knock his a$$ right out the ring. And Tito needs to come back cause I would love to see Shane ruin his rep. I like Tito as much as the next girl but be serious? Shane would kill him simply because Tito is so damn clumbsy. Shane's hands and feet movement would have Tito stumbblin all over the place. Now on to Forrest.Forrest got Shane! Ok I'll give you that but Forrest is the only man to beat Shane. Vernon needs to get a life because Shane's the only big name he'll ever beat and I think that says alot about Vernon's spare time  "what does he think about all day?"" Must beat Shane." He needs to think about somebody else sometimes I mean damn. Focus on Mayorga oh wait to late he just ko'd him out. The guy musta been trained for one Shane his whole life. It's a shame really. Or should I say it's Shane
Shane Mosley that is

 | Itellya,somepeople.. (0) 12/13/2002 | I don't care what anybody say's. Sugar Shane is one awesome fighter I think that Forrest has his number. I would imagine it would be damn near impossible to fight a tall rangy fighter like forrest that blasts you from long range, then ties you up when you get close. Oscar De La Hoya is one of the fastest, skilled fighters in the world and Mosley went up two weight classes and outboxed him after being behind in the first five rounds. I wish we could see more performances like that instead of the stiff's he was fighting before Forrest which I think was his major problems.

 | briannissan1 (0) 08/09/2001 | this is for all you tito fans. whats all this talk about jone this jones that... ya should leave jones alone beause if your man Tito is to scared to fight Shane Mosley. Whats the point of fighting jones.. Because to me jones is just a bigger mosley in a different weight. yo the bottom line is this. To be concidered the best you have to beat the best... and Trinidad has been runing away from mosley...cause after that vargas fight Mosley wanted to go up and fight Tito at 154 but Trinidad ran to the middle wieghts to beat a stupid William Joppy, and is about to beat a fake no puncher Hopkins, only to be killed by Mr.Roy Jones Jr... Sugar Shane, keep doing your thang cause they dont have nothing for you....Watch out for Zab Judah though.

 | BoXiNgFaN (0) 05/22/2001 | "Sugar" the name speaks for itself....He is highly overrated...He's fought one good opponent in De La Hoya...He has the heart but not the compassion...He would not dare go up in weight and fight Tito....Tito is Game, he's the one everyone wants and needs to beat...Not Roy Jones, nope...
If Mosley wants to be known as p4p one of the best....than I say either move up against Vargas, Reid, Quartey, or Joppy...than maybe he'll get my respect......But as for now....he is on the top of my list as one of the highest overrated boxers today.....

 | TRUST ME (0) 01/07/2001 | NICE SLAP FEST AGAINST OSCAR. HOW MANY "LUMPS" DOES THE SUGAR MAN WANT FROM TRINIDAD? STAY AWAY FROM TRINIDAD IF YOU WANT TO KEEP A BRIGHT FUTURE OR YOUR LIGHTS WILL DIM. I WISH FROM THE DEEPEST OF MY HEART THAT TRINIDAD AND MOSLEY FIGHT. I WILL BET ON THE PUERTO-RICAN. IF MOSLEY WANTS TO FIGHT TRINIDAD, WHY IS HE STUCK AT 147LBS ...OH, THAT'S RIGHT HE WANTS A BRIGHT FUTURE. TRINIDAD IS THE GRIM REAPER OF BOXING. NOBODY BREAKS THROUGH DIVISIONS, RECORDS, AND CHAMPIONS LIKE TRINIDAD.....NOOOOOBODY.

 | FACTS (0) 12/26/2000 | GREAT SPEED AND DETERMINATION AGAINST OSCAR'S STINGY PUNCHES. I WAS GLAD TO SEE THAT OSCAR GAVE MOSLEY THE CHANCE TO GO TOE TO TOE WITH HIM. I JUST WISH OSCAR HAD GIVEN TRINIDAD THAT SAME CHANCE BUT OSCAR KNEW THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO CROSS A MINE-FIELD OF C4 AND PUERTO-RICAN POWER(BY THE WAY TRINIDAD STILL MANAGED TO BEAT HIM AT HIS OWN GAME). WE ALL KNOW THAT MOSLEY WOULD NOT STAND A CHANCE AGAINST THE PUERTO-RICAN KILLER. COME ON NOW, EVEN ROY JONES FEELS THREATENED BY THE 154- POUND TRINIDAD WHO IS STILL A COUPLE DIVISIONS UNDERNEATH HIM. I STILL GIVE THE SUGAR MAN ALL THE CREDIT HE DESERVES. TRINIDAD WILL PUT IT ON HIM LIKE MY PITTBULL ON YOUR HOUSE CAT.(STAY AT 147LBS. UNTIL TRINIDAD MOVES UP) I'M SURE TRINIDAD WILL TELL MOSLEY THE SAME HE TOLD VARGAS "DON'T STEP IN MY TERRITORY" OR ELSE DESTRUCTION WILL FOLLOW. I'M STILL CURIOUS HOW SUCH A SMALL ISLAND COULD GENERATE SO MUCH POWER? I GUESS IT'S IN THE BLOOD. CHUPATE ESTA A LO QUE VIENE LA OTRA. I STILL ADMIT MOSLEY IS A GREAT FIGHTER. WHY HAS MOSLEY STAYED AT 147? WHO IS HE WAITING FOR? IS HE POSSIBLY WAITING FOR OSCAR TO COME BACK FROM HIS SINGING STUDIO? IT'S FUNNY HOW EVERY MONKEY CHOOSES THE RIGHT TREE TO CLIMB.

 | smilez (0) 11/29/2000 | Trinidad beat Oscar, due to Oscars own fault (running because he thought he had it all won). how can one say Mosley cant beat Tito. Shane Mosley beat Oscar and Oscar would have beaten Trinidad if he didnt coast through the later rounds.
First there's RJ then there's Sugar Shane. I remember when Jones used to talk about how great Sugar Shanes future would be. he was right.
Shane Mosley (36-0 33KOs)... 11 of his last 12 opponents were stopped within the distance. If there's anyone in the game that deserves recognition, its the new "Sugar Man." Yes, the man who convincingly took Oscars title. And if the great Ray Leonard speaks highly of Shane... C'mon.

 | p4pchamp (0) 11/16/2000 | Next to Roy Jones, Sugar Shane is pound for pound the greatest. He is the kind of image boxing fans need to redeem the sport from personalities such as Tyson. He has a wonderful relationship with his father and has kept his head on straight. As for his boxing skills he has great speed and power, he also takes on the best opponents with a KO in his plans. De La Hoya should have never taken that fight and Tito has no business ahead of Mosely.

 | cruzer (0) 11/05/2000 | well, well, well, he's ok, but he lacks finess in the ring he might be lighting fast but if he want to be on top he has to get himself together on the ring and stop being flashy

 | Hit man hayes (0) 10/29/2000 | Well for those that never rated Roy jones a 5 dont bother rating him, cocky you have to be, no commpition for Jones thats not his fault, hes just so much better. Mosley is a 5 star guy for all the reasons Jones is, and isnt. Mosleys 33-0 hes good lookin dude, hes not cocky and he beat De la hoya, he is pound for pound the best fighter next to the man Jones
