They are a great team. Troy Smith should be MVP. He's a great QB and a great leader.
louiethe20th 12/17/2005
The best "D" in the nation, should have beaten Texas. Now with the less conservative Offense, could handle any team in the country.

Ohio State football maintains one of the greatest traditions in sports. The rivaly with Michigan is unsurpassed. OSU fields one of the top teams in the nation every year even though the media has a tendancy to hate the Buckeyes. What was up with the broadcaster at the Michigan game wearing maize and blue??? Anyways, everyone not in Ohio, not just Columbus, lives and breathes OSU football. The Buckeyes are the best!

Being a Michigan fan, i get to see an Ohio State team in Ann Arbor every other year. And i must say, they're a pretty good football team. Dont get me wrong, they're the enemy. But i have a tremendous amount of respect for the program, unlike Michigan State. Year in and year out they keep the rivalry alive. that in itself is worth recognition.
Justxander 07/11/2005
GREAT season ahead in 05!
MTiger_87 06/15/2005
While I'm a Michigan fan, I do have to give their main rival some respect. You can't have a Michigan without Ohio State, or vice versa. However, I still hate 'em ;-)
Av-Alon 06/11/2005
Scarlet and Silver...nothing compares. Big things in 05'. We're taking out Michigan and Texas!! Go Bucks!!
OneHungryMonst er 05/25/2005
As much as I love OSU, I think they'll be disappointing this year.
puppypaws08 05/10/2005
i love this team!! its good but lets hope they try to stay that way you know. but o i am ok with michigan kinda i am on both but i am a Buckeye girl for eva!

Ohio State has a great quarter back who is new to the team. Ohio state is 3 and 0. They are doing very good.
alpepper 09/24/2004
With so many cheap wins, lucky wins (they are the Luckeyes, aren't they), and ugly wins, Ohio state is the Worst Best Team in College Football history. It's a good thing they keep winning, otherwise their Neanderthal fans will burn Columbus to the ground.
bumwrap1 09/24/2004
The only College Football team to ever go 14 and O!
rob@y-town 07/27/2004
Stoops is from Youngstown so is Tressel We are proud of both but Tressel is by far smarter and will surpass Woody Hayes as the best coach ever.
Habanerobuck 06/03/2004
The Bucks merit 5 stars merely because they are my team. You grow up in Ohio and go to Ohio State, hey, you like the Bucks. With Tressel in town, don't expect Michigan to knock the Bucks down a few pegs as often as happened in the nineties. Will be Top Ten just about every year for a long time.
Cooldudegk 05/06/2004
Go bucks!!!!! The buckeyes ROCK!
h2o 02/18/2004
They are the best in the wold
c_warrior 12/23/2003
Most overrated team in the last 10 years of college football.
vkgemini 10/15/2003
The best team ever.
RebelYell1861 09/08/2003
They're in a candy-ass conference (for the most part), and they didn't deserve to win the championship last year.
4everdogs 08/29/2003
# 1 again.

Let's talk about the delayed flag (2003 Fiesta bowl). As the ball is thrown to Chris Gamble, if you slow down the tape replay, we see that Gamble' jersey is almost ripped off him, that can be either holding or pass interference, then as the ball drops, you see the miami defenders hand go not just on, but inside Gamble's helemet, guess what? That is a penalty, (face mask for you Oklahoma, Canes, USC, and IOWA fans!) it would put the ball on the goal line. Next point, Miami had 5 shots from goal to get the ball in. They couldn't. They lost. This team may not pull it off this year, but remember, Clarett has to stay around for another year, and the talent is just getting better, and they don't have Coop around dissing everything that Ohio State football stands for. My final argument about the '02 national chamionship involves a play at the end of the 4th quarter. Mr. gamble has the ball thrown to him, he is not only held, he is ruled out of bounds. Even Keith Jackson and the other Moron in the both said that is was two missed calls. Maybe had the people calling the game for ABC not been so biased against the Buckeyes, I wouldn't have to read this garbage about how Ohio State did not win fair and square. They won a lot close games, that's how it works.
Phil98 06/15/2003
What can I say... the are the best... until next year. Then I'll change my vote.
suzukiman 06/07/2003
Good team last season, but had the national championship handed to them. I know it ,the players know it, and the official who made the bogus pass interference call on the OT 4th down play knows it. Why did he wait so long to throw the flag anyway ?
lukskywlkr. 04/26/2003
Won it all on a bad call.
AECCLINT 04/24/2003
they are ok. all i have to say is 7 national championships; and the longest winning streak in college football history; and a 35-4 record the last three seasons. BOOMER SOONER!
mijimicah 04/23/2003
Buckeyes are worthless nuts.
GeauxTigersLSU 04/16/2003
GEAUX LSU TIGERS!
luckyluckychen g 04/15/2003
I don't think this is a good year for Ohio State: their offensive team is average in big ten, except Marice. Their defense? need at least one more year to develop. I would put them in top 25 but definitely not top 10. Talking about repeating NC is just a waste of time.
Tom_Green 04/15/2003
Guys like lukskywlkr and famine illustrate the uselessness of such fan ratings. You don't have to have any understanding of football or any integrity of opinion to chime in. Sad.
joeblow1234 04/15/2003
A great coach, top-notch facilities, the best stadium in the country, and the most fan support in the country. 2002 Consensus National Champions and the only 14-0 team in IA history. The Tressel Dynasty has begun! Go Bucks
onebucplace 04/15/2003
For the people that talk about the call! Ohio State I recall was supposed to be like Nebraska and get blown out. Ohio State had twice as many penalties called against them than Miami. There was definately a penalty on " the call ". Maybe not pass interference ,but there was holding! Which is the same result, first and goal! Game Over Buckeyes Win! National Champions!
BuckeyeRick 04/15/2003
Great Tradition, fan base and stadium. Excellent coach. Very Good Athletic Department and administrative support. Had a miraculous season last year and should be a consistent Top 10 Team in the near future.
Pizza Buckeye 04/15/2003
Truely, how is winning a national title, not reaching expectations? And for questionable calls, there were a few, both ways, it's called football, get over it! Buckeyes #1
TheMyth 04/09/2003
Alright, they won the national championship. Though there were some questionable calls, it should never have to come down to one play. It's really bad when your big name, stud runningback speaks openly about how he doesn't like Ohio State, and that he might try to transfer or go pro to get away from the college.
angusmacpherso n 03/15/2003
Three words: 2002 National Champs. More on the way...
dude183 02/04/2003
WHEN OHIO STATE ENTERED THE 2002-2003 SEASON EVEN I DIDNT HAVE HOPES FOR THE NATIONAL TITLE. WELL THERE DEFENSE HAD PROVEN US ALL WRONG AND THE OFFENSE WILL BE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH FOR YEARS TO COME.
famine 01/06/2003
NO
espellacy 12/22/2002
Still not living up to potential, but a winning team.

FIESTA BOWL HERE WE COME
Abuelita #1 02/16/2002
For the recruits they get Ohio St should win more games....
dirk 12/13/2000
Ohio State is also one of the best schools for football. They are always in the top 25, even when they have a bad season. They also have a really good coaching staff, and a lot of top players like Eddie George, Shawn Springs and Ahmed Plummer.
spudesq 11/20/2000
I've been a Buckeye fan for longer than I can remember. The bottom line is this: they never seem to live up to expectations. The talent is there but they haven't even been able to beat Michigan. What chance do they have winning a national championship if they can't even win the Big 10?
ou08tlaw 09/28/2000
The best team in the nation. GO BUCKS!!!!!!
