 | Broncos9798 (0) 01/12/2006 | Lets see....
He won the Heismanin 78 and came in second place in 79 due to early voting which did not reflect the 600 yard he racked up in the last two games, he was a first pick overall, he ran for 1300 yards in his rookie season, and he is currently ranked #2 on the Lions all-time rushing list behind THAT ONE GUY.

 | Trent Pugh (0) 10/02/2005 | Billy Sims was an incredible football player! Power, speed, and moves made him a serious threat. He had over 7,000 yards rushing in high school. Injury was the only thing that kept him from being listed as an all-time great in the NFL. Truly an all-time great in college and high school.

 | RainMan12 (0) 08/27/2005 | Awesome combination of power and speed. When Sims was a Senior in High School, Darrell Royal of Texas, Barry (The Crook) Switzer of OU and Frank Broyles of Arkansas were all in the press box recruiting him AT THE SAME TIME. Does not sound over-rated to me.

 | Jog nannon (0) 03/05/2005 | Great player who should never have set foot on a college campus. Billy, when you can read this (if ever), don't thank Barry Switzer!

 | tknox30 (0) 12/11/2004 | Billy Ray Sims was by far one of the most prolific running backs in high school as well as college football history. He was the greatest that I ever saw and for someone to state that this man was overrated. Well they are either a Texas fan or a Nebraska fan and they know nothing about the game of football. In four years in the pros he rushed for 5100 yards and had another 2600 recieving yards. His career was abruptly halted by a severe knee injury. Project those numbers over 10 years and he breaks every yardage record that was relavent during his era.

 | HuskerTexas (0) 12/30/2003 | Great despite his fumble against us that cost OU the national title in 1978. He more than made up for it, though, by whipping us in the Orange Bowl. Seriously, though, great back. With a killer combination of size, speed, and elusiveness, Billy truly was a man among boys back in the day.

 | shawndog (0) 06/18/2003 | I would like to say that bill is not only one of the best ball players of all time he is all so a great friend. I first started doing public autograph sginings with bill in 98 and of all the football stars I have worked with, bill is by far the most fan acomadating. The only others that come close are Terry Bradshaw and Steve Owens (also and sooner).

 | Nittany Lion Jon (0) 11/19/2002 | Billy Sims was a baaaad man. If it wasn't for the knee injury with the Lions, he would be remembered as one of the greatest running backs ever. He had an abundance of power, speed, and quickness to the whole. While running, he could shift gears without breaking stride. Awesome talent.

 | Solenoid DH (20) 03/07/2002 | This ranking isn't for playing ability, but for sportsmanship. Billy Sims was among the worst of these guys who, when they score a touchdown, like to stick their rear ends up in the air and swivel their hips at the crowd. He was one of the reasons I could never stand OU even though I lived in Oklahoma for many years.

 | cwil466om (0) 10/28/1999 | No other running back on this list could carry Sims' jock. Billy Sims had clearly the best combination of speed and strength of any back in college football history. Sims led the great Oklahoma teams of 1978 and 1979 to Top 3 finishes. After winning the Heisman as a junior with 1760 yards and 20 TDs, he was robbed as a senior since the voting occurred before the last 2 games of the regular season. In those 2 games, Sims ran for 500 yards and proved himself far superior to Charles White.
