 | louiethe20th (80) 12/21/2007 | Earl Campbell was a tough, physical runner who could run over ya or by ya in a second. Very deserving of a top 10 on this list.

 | OUfan4Life (9) 09/06/2007 | This was truly a great running back. Even as a Sooner fan, I watched in awe as this guy mowed over anybody in his path. What a phenominal athelete! He carried on his style of play into the pros and had a wonderful career. It's a shame his career ended when it did after all the beating he took. I still have visions of some of the hits he put on opponents. Beautiful!

 | RainMan12 (0) 08/27/2005 | The Tyler Rose used a can of whoop-ass every time he touched the ball. No one outside of, dare I say, Jim Brown, ran the ball as hard as him. Not in Brown's class though, but great nonetheless. Darrell Royal said, A person is not measured by the breaths he takes, but by the breathless moments he makes. And he (Earl) has created more breathless monents than anyone I've ever been around.

 | Jog nannon (0) 03/05/2005 | A great player and someone you didn't mind your kids cheering for. Honorable on and off the field. Marcus Allen couldn't carry Campbell's jock.

 | toyzrme (0) 02/23/2003 | Unfortunately, I am a life long razorback fan. Earl consistently smasked us in the mouth in years when we had pretty good, (top 20 ), teams. He was the most dominant physical prescense at Tailback ever. He could run inside, outside, and literally over anyone. Paired with about 4.5 speed, he was scary
