Speaking as a Sooner fan, I have to admit he was quite a player in college. OU pretty much held their own against him, but he had some fantastic games against quite a few other opponents. He was certainly deserving of the Heisman. As a pro, he was a total loser and an idiot. He gave up what could of been a great pro career in turn for whacky weed. Pure stupidity earns him only 3 stars in my book.

In the 1997 Fiesta Bowl PENN STATE DEFENSE Pounded Williams holding him to 48 yards. Not Impressed!

Great in college a bust in the Pros, did what no one could do, killed Ditka's coaching career.

Ricky had a 50+ Yd TD in almost every game his two years as Tail Back. Amazing. He also holds the YDS/CArry record. Something Ron Dayne was not even close to.

This guy was a real raging bull...with funny looking hair! How did Texas go 4-7 in 1997 with this guy? Nuts.

Ricky did in two years what it has taken other backs four to accomplish (he was a full back his first two years). The problem in new orleans was the lack of an offensive line and the fact that as the offenses only weapon he was up against nine man fronts. You want to see true colors - go southeast from new orleans to miami.

The only reason he got the record is because they gave him the ball 45 times in games Texas was winning big. Mack Brown's complete lack of class is entirely responsible for any perception that Williams is worth a damn. He is showing his true colors with the Saints.
