Clearly this alternative name is not going to get any traction with the reviewers on this site. It is worth noting however that this is one of the few llist items submitted by Binniethebloodybooh that doesn't reference bodily fluids.

Well, it would only highlight the materialistic aspect of the holiday, that's for sure.That name though is way too long. Maybe they should come up with a shorter name. Fans of Seinfeld will remember the "Festivus" holiday. I'm surprised that's not on here...

This is pretty lame. If we're going this route, why not Gravy Sucking Corporate Greed Over-Commercialization Day.Personally, I've always kind of liked Yule. It is the original name of the celebration, back before Christians hijacked it from the Norse and Celts. And if you'd prefer a different bit of paganism, try Saturnalia, which was the Roman festival that took place at about the same time, and was also heavily borrowed from by early Christians.
