First ballot Hall-of-Famer all the way. All he did was do his job everyday. He showed up to practice on time, served well in his community and played the game the way it should be played. Never complained about anything and got along with the refs and media quite well. He was a classy man.

Not just his extraordinary rebounding and scoring techniques... he was and will always be a class act. One of the best centers of all time.

'last guy finish last', won his 2nd championship in his last season. nevertheless he couldn't do it without duncan (as well as Jordan without pippen, shaq without kobe). what a great player he's been for the city of san antonio

A great player for his time but overrated on here -- there's no way he should be this high. A great regular season player but a disaster in the playoffs when his softness always would show through. I have a feeling he's only rated this high because he was well liked, not because most think he was this great.

He is one of the best players in the NBA because he was consistent all his years, AND he got a 1320 in his SAT's.
