 | badgerfan (5) 02/29/2008 | He changed the game. Why couldn't he stay with the Bucks? Any way, All-time leading scorer deffinately gets you a five star.

 | oscargamblesfro (76) 01/30/2006 | There has never been a player that was so great for so long, I mean he was still amazing at 42. Easily deserves his ranking amongst the top 3 or 4 players ever, a fine defensive player, and there were times it seemed like you'd be more likely to bench press a rhinoceros 50 times than have the sky hook fail,it was the single most foolproof of all unique shots. I think I saw the sky hook fail ONCE. A truly great part of some great teams in L.A., i regard The Lakers of the 80's as the greatest team ever, such depth with Kareem, Magic, and Worthy, and others too...and don't forget the fine early 70's Bucks teams either.

 | Jar-Jar Binks (16) 07/23/2005 | The guy had the deadliest skyhook of all time. It was impossible to stop because he out-heighted everybody. Wasn't a physical player but can be counted on down the stretch.

 | AEnzhRu (4) 03/07/2005 | A sui generis: Perhaps the most unique player ever -with his vintage, potent skyhook- never before seen and maybe never to be seen ever again, and a very intelligent person. (I saw him EASILY manhandle every contestant on a five-day Jeopardy spree.) The Lakers were my fav. team in the '80s and early '90s and he was one of the main, if not THE MAIN reason why. He was the John McEnroe of basketball; his game was so artful and refined. He still holds the NBA record for the most all-time points scored in a career which I hope that won't be broken by the undeserving 'choker': Karl Malone.

 | strawfoot (0) 03/06/2003 | Unlike Wilt, Kareem rarely hustled. Always the last man up the court. He didn't work hard for rebounds. He was a superstar but also a poor team player and not a leader.

 | michaelgil (0) 06/11/2001 | His only move was the Goddamned sky-nuke. What moves did he have aside from that? Furthermore, he only won the all time scoring title by playing for twenty years.

 | parf10148et (0) 08/24/2000 | No doubt a very good player, talented and athletic......but his career rebounding average is like 7 per game.....In my book a center with his size and athleticism who doesn't rebound is not worthy of what many of you feel he is.

 | magellan (153) 12/25/1999 | Maybe I caught this guy a little past his prime, but I would describe his game as durable and consistent rather than dominant.

 | bigc3285om (0) 12/18/1999 | my favorite player of all time, one of the last great "true centers". gentlemen w/ the ability to play w/ the bcks to the basket. all time scoring leader in the NBA. very well conditioned athlete, which allowed him to play into his mid-40's, incredile talent, which allowed him to still be unstoppable scorer at that time. not the greatest rebounder, but an excellent passing center. one of my best memories of Kareem was actually off the court. Abdul-Jabbar graduated from UCLA during the bidding wars of the NBA & ABA. Kareem did not like the idea of a Black man being openly bid on. he thus instructed the two teams interested in his services (Milwaukee & the Nets) to submit only ONE closed offer. the Nets decided to bluff and he never gave them another chance, not even for much more money. a true champion. like Mr Jordan, Kareem won 6 championships.
