Say what you will about riding the MJ wave, for 1st step explosiveness Pippen is right there with Dr J, James Worthy, Kobe and Lebron. MJ wasn't getting all those rings surrounded by wusses. Watch the old film people. The man played defense!

6 rings with jordan, 0 without. the same people who think pippen was good also think that shack has talent. try watching the games and not just the sportscenter highlights.

i actually was more of a scottie pippen fan than i was a jordan fan during the bulls reign . i think pippen was awesome and a hottie

Look at the numbers: Pippen had better stats than Jordan in every category except scoring (and that's only because he took fewer shots). Also, it was Pippen who always had to guard the other teams best player, as well as play point-forward, which must've worn him out and prevented him from putting up even better numbers. But if you want the real test, look at the Bulls when Jordan left: still a 50-win team, and one bad call away from going to the finals. Now look at the Bulls when Jordan returned and Pippen was injuried for several games: struggling to stay above .500. And that was with Rodman. Also, who came closer to winning a title without the other? Pippen, by far. I could go on, but I've made my point. One last thing: those who think Jordan's the best are brainwashed; those who know Pippen was the real reason for 6 titles know basketball. End of discussion.

Scottie would have won a championship without Mike at some point in his career, even if he had been stuck in Seattle. By the way, he took six anyway. There was a reason they kept him around.

Most underrated player ever. There is a reason chicago won 6 titles. It's because of scottie pippen. Jordan got the fancy dunks, but scottie got the rebounds, the steals, and the assists that made michael the legend he is today.

MJ sidekick was superstar in his own right

He was alright but OVER-RATED. I mean he was on the team with Michael Jordan. Don't get me wrong he was somewhat good.

He was purty good

one of the most underrated players of all time. the real reason behind chicago's sucess was Jordan and Pippen together. Neither one could have done what they did without the other.

Definitely one of the greatest NBA players of all time. It's just a real shame that he was forced to play in Jordan's shadow all those years.

One of the 3 most grossly overrated players of all-time. He is silent without Michael. As Ellajedlicka stated, took himself out of a key game for selfish reasons only to have it backfire when the Bulls won the game on Kukoc's 3-pointer at the buzzer. Also has a reputation as a tightwad when out on the town. Referred to as "no tippin'" Pippen for lack of gratuity.

It is amazing how he is so immature and a professional. While with the Bulls, he took himself out of the final play of a game because Phil Jackson designed the play for him to be a decoy. That incident will forever live on in my mind as an extremely selfish play by a decent player. He needs to avoid that kind of stuff.

He is noone without MJ, just zero. Just average player.
jim234 01/11/2001
How many titles did Jordan win without Pippen? That's right- zero. Its a testament to Pippen's greatness that Jordan would rather retire than play without #33. Pippen is a triple-double waiting to happen.

Doesn't deserve to be on this list. There are plenty of superior players in today's NBA, let alone in the history of the league.
