OMG Sheryl Swoopes is an lesbian! I never thought there was a gay athlete, now I can't watch sports anymore! Sheryl no one cares about your sexuality, people just want to see you play basketball. There was no need to tell the world your preference, personally I don't care! What does that have to do with basketball? But since she announced that she's a lesbian, I wonder if she used her ex-boyfriend just to get a kid or was she trying to mask her true emotions. She's a pretty good b-ball player, that's all that matters. She's not better than Cynthia Cooper, Lisa Leslie, or Cheryl Miller though.

I have followed Sheryl Swoopes prior to Tx Tech. Sheryl is undoubtedly the best female athelete in history and one of the best in all. She is a true roll model. If young girls can pattern themselves and represent as Sheryl, they too will be as successful.

Sheryl Swoopes is great to watch. It's a treat to watch her play, if you havent your missing out. There isnt anything better in the world for a basketball fan to watch a player be so dominant both offensively and defensively. Swoopes plays with fire, determination, heart, and is fearless when on the court. She has the ability to take over at any point in the game, she has nba 3-point arc range, and is faster that most players in the Wnba. The opposing coaches worst fear is at half-time looking at the boxscore and seeing Swoopes with 4 or less points. You better know that Swoopes is going to go off for 20 points in the second half. The younger players in the league like Catching, Cash, and bird are also wonderful to watch. They still have a lot to learn though, the game against Indiana this season(2003) where Swoopes left the game with a concussion in the first half, Tamika went off and couldnt be stopped. Well, Swoopes came back in the second half and took over from there, she scored 15 points in the second half and held Catchings to 6 points. For the person who said Swoopes isnt clutch, I dont think were talking about the same Swoopes, because Sheryl is very clutch, she has saved the Comets so many times. Swoopes' shot was a little off this season(2003), but dont let that fool you, she will be back and tear this league up next year. If the Comets coaching staff do their part and surround Swoopes with the players that can contribute, Sheryl will do her part and throw her Mvp numbers at her opponents. Swoopes is the best "All-Around" player of all time, She can Score, steal, block, dish assists, and so much more. She's the epitome of what a Legend is. From Texas Tech, standing 6'0, at 145lbs. #22 SHERYL SWOOOOOPES!!!!!

Sheryl is a basketball star. A true leader the best in the game.

She is good at her craft, but this year she appeared to lack something. Sometimes her judgement is not always sound. She wants to win, but she needs to learn to pass the ball to someone else if she gets double teamed and let them make that shot. She is definitely not the clutch player. Perhaps she will work on that for the off season.

Swoopes has an all-around good game, but recent injuries have made her less effective than she had been in prior years.

She's still awesome, and will definitely be remembered as one of the league's finest.

Sheryl swoopes is the best female athlete to walk this earth. I play basketball, I own anything that has the name sheryl swoopes on it. I met her and talked with her she is nothing like "Emri Noel" said. Shes the nicest funniest person and she not only cares about herself but others as well. She is an overall amazing person and has inspired me to do amazing things on the court. I am going to attend Texas Tech just like Sheryl did. She is amazing at every aspect in the game for that I want to be exactly like her!

If you only knew her. I go to the school she graduated from and acctully go to school with her younger brother. I have lived in this small town my whole life and nobody around here likes her she is a stuck-up snob who doesn't care about anyone but herself. Yes she is a good basketball player and she did help to bring the state championship to B-Town but she is not a good person and I think that means a lot as well.

I remember when Sheryl Swoopes was at Texas Tech, she was considered the female Michael Jordan (before Chamique Holdsclaw was). Well, soon after college, she got married and had a kid (who she named after Jordan) and became a really good, but complimentary player for the Houston Comets. Now, however, she is the best player on the Comets and a front-runner for league MVP. She is leading the league in scoring and is among the leaders in rebounding and assists. It looks like she is now once again living up to her son's namesake.
