After seeing him limp up and down the court for the 76ers, I really thought he was done. But after being picked up by the Pistons, it seems like he still has a couple years left in him. He's not even close to being the superstar he once was, but it seems like he's found a place to contribute as the starting center for the Pistons.
UPDATE: Now retired, therefore lowering him to 1 star, since this is a list of current players.
badgerfan 02/15/2008
I have never liked him. I don't like the way he plays, and don't think he was ever an elite player. He probably should be a four, but I don't care.
Momsandpopscal lmeJoe 01/11/2007
Webber was once an elite player in the league. His presence in the paint used to draw double teams, but not anymore. His legs are worn out, he's old, and he's makin' too much money. Even in his prime, he was a choker, he choked against the Lakers. Everybody knows the Kings were better than the Lakers that year, but Webber and his teammates choked under pressure.
Jeremy00081 09/20/2006
I don't think Webber gets his hands on the ball enough is Philly, but when he does, he still makes good things happen. Still a good player.
elCougar 05/05/2006
C-Webb is one of the best "second option" players in the league. Unfortunately, he always wanted to be the first option. A great passer, rebounder and scorer, he never had the "winning instinct" to be a champion. Two knee surgeries don't help matters much. Although he's not the athelete he once was, he's adjusted his game and still puts up good numbers (20/10).
jazzackfl 05/01/2006
Was the Best all-around Power Forward in the Game . Reminds Me Of Chocalate Thunder. But he's lost his drive. I remember when Chris Webber was going to the hole every drive. I remember when Chris Webber was putting defenders on Espn's top ten. OHH and By the Way Tim Duncan Sucks
Supernatural IQ 11/08/2005
Overrated player who has never carried his team alone to victory at any level but college [and he had lots of other guys who could've done it too on his team]. Also, he doesn't like contact and that's the biggest thing big forwards should be used to. In short., he's only playing basketball cause he is big. Big deal.
2521pride 04/16/2005
Sucks at everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
chr0nic21 01/04/2005
webber shoots worst than shaq...and shaq is cross eyed....wtf?

sperryc 12/03/2004
I don't know if it's because he lashed out at the media for probing into his sex life but this guy is totally underrated. Webber will go for a triple-double and no one will hear about it. YTD thru November, he's averaging 20ppg (50% from the field), 11 rpg, 5 apg, 1 spg, and 1 bpg. That's tough to beat.
Nickel9Mista 09/10/2004
Alright, listen up!! Chris Webber is one of the best players in the NBA for a few reasons. No one mentions that he was the NBA rebounding king a few years ago. In his last healthy season, he was the most dominating player in the NBA averaging 27+ ppg, over 11 rebs per game. His strength is only rivaled by Shaquille Malone and Ben Wallace. Everyone knows he's one of the best passers in the league, not just for a big man. He once put the ball around the back of a defender then threw an assist! He WILL be All-NBA this season barring an injury.
witakay 09/09/2004
webber your starting to look like the mailman. except malone went 0 and 2 in the finals. at least he reached them. oh yeah, and he went on the dl finally after 19 seasons. how many times have you been on it?
towny114 07/19/2004
I am thankful the Kings did not trade him to the Lakers for Shaq. I think Webber will return this season and help the Kings take it to the next level. He is still one of the most dominating palyers in the NBA.
Neosoul 06/30/2004
Chris Webber was on the all star first team in 01, nuff said... Give him some time to recover and he'll be back
alphonso 06/28/2004
Webber was awful in crunch time for the Kings. He is vastly overrated.
kelsdianne 06/19/2004
If his knee was healthy, there wouldn't be anyone able to stop him. His efforts in the playoffs this year were great. That last shot against the T-wolves was a heartbreaker. I just hope it doesn't damper his spirit for next season. He can't think it was his fault, the Kings had tons of opportunities. Webber def. still has it in him to take over games.
lahell84 05/25/2004
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
alpepper 05/21/2004
C-Web is a very good power forward. But not in the short list of great players. He has been accursed; first, scandal in high school, then more scandal in college and the Time Out debacle in the NCAA finals. Then there's his NBA career. He has been the albatross for the so-many near misses by the Sac-of-Tomato Queens. This year, he played through pain and you gotta give him credit (although I could have made that lay-up in Game 7 against the T-Wolves). I think he is ready to try his luck for another NBA team.
pghjosh 05/20/2004
The most underrated player of his generation. Ok, not a big game player, I admit that. But the heart he displayed in the 2004 playoffs, clearly going on one leg, was truly impressive. Peja disappeared in the playoffs, and it was Webber who did his best to carry the Kings.
B.J.#24 01/05/2004
Best all rounded King no doubt. But to be honest witchyall he still one of my least favorate Kings. I like him, but I like just about every other player on the Kings roster better. I rank Webber at the same ranking I do Peja. Webber is no doubt better than Peja, but webber earns about $9,000,000 of his $14,000,000 from the bleachers every year. Ha, come on C-Webb, I know when it comes down to the nitty gritty the officials will make it to where the L.A. Loosers win every time. But who knows, with you in there maybe you could make the Kings so damn dominant you guys could still beat the L.A. Fakers, kind of like the T-Wolves did last year, when they were playing a 5 man on the floor game against an 8 man rotation against the Fakers. Hey for any of you little L.A. Ladies fans out there, just remember, you didn't win in 2001-02. Okay, the Kings got skrood with out getting kissed. ofcourse if it was Shaq offering the Kisses that could've ben a blessing in discise. Shoot I wouldn't even tell him to kiss my ass. Nope, wouldn't want his dirty lips on my ass. LOL, GO KINGS, die FAKERS!
hoop_star12 12/20/2003
Chris is an amazing player, albeit he gets hurt a little too much, he would be an even better player if he took it to the basket more often. I think he settles for the outside jumper too much.
Leonhartf 11/08/2003
C. Webb inpired me to play the greatest game in the world. He should be a legend, after fighting his way through injury, he is surely one of the greatest Kings players of all time, and that's saying something!
jamestkirk 09/02/2003
He's good, but not great. He has had a way of disappearing in big games at times. He's certainly nice to have on any team, but you better surround him with an even better player on your team if you want to reach the Finals. Considering the amount of money he would demand, it would be a tough fit under the cap.
BucFanSince76 08/17/2003
Either hurt or his game is nowhere to be found in the playoffs. Isn't even man enough to make it to the Finals before tanking. This team should have been in the Finals the last two years if it wasn't for the fact their superstar is an injured/nervous-wreck loser!!!!
RebelYell1861 05/29/2003
One of the absolute best players in the NBA today. If it wasn't for his injury, the Kings would have this year's championship that they so rightfully deserve.
AEnzhRu 05/28/2003
Chris Webber is the new and improved Karl Malone. In my opinion, he's already a little better than Karl Malone ever was (though he needs to be a little more aggressive and tenacious defensively) and, thus, is on his way to becoming the best power forward ever. He has a variety of inside the paint moves, is quick for a forward and has an excellent outside shot. There's no reason why he can't be one of the best NBA players for years to come, except for injuries which have plagued him recently.
gummocatkilla 05/24/2003
Chris Webber is a spoiled child who needs to grow up.
SYVD 04/18/2003
Most physically talented player in the NBA, but must deliver a championship to Sactown to become great. Unquestionably, the best passing big man in the NBA today. Must take control down the strech and drive to the hoop. Stop shooting 20-foot jumpers in crunch time!
dude183 02/04/2003
THE BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA NO DOUBT. HE IS THE FORCE THAT DRIVES SACREMENTO INTO THE GREATEST STAGE ON EARTH (NBA CHAMPIONSHIP) IF IT WASNT FOR THE ANKLE INJURY HE WOULD BE THE MVP WITHOUT A DOUBT
zuchinibut 01/31/2003
Great player. Kevin Garnett and him are the two best all around players in the NBA right now.
bballfreak7 11/15/2002
peckerhead!
CanadaSucks 08/06/2002
Has a rep for blowing it and/or disappearing in big games. I know this isn't very fair, but I hate that phony scowl he plasters on his face in the playoffs. . .Chris, you're a nice guy from the 'burbs- stop with the phony 'Saving Private Ryan' look of intensity on your face. Webber DOES carry a rep for being a quality guy who gives back to the community. I am impressed with his commitment to Sacremento. Good scorer, but again. . .he has to win a big game and I think he knows this himself.
yoshislink 06/23/2002
Great scorer good rebounder good passer for his size, but still needs to prove himself during the playoffs.
Talena 04/14/2001
Chris is so awesome! I have been a kings fan since I was a year old (Sacramento is my hometown), and even when we were a sucky team I stuck by them. Now that Chris has been here for a while, we have gotten so much better....our playing has improved greatly. I hope he decides to stay for more seasons, even if we don't succeed in getting far in the playoffs this year.
AUNTPAGE 11/20/2000
I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING CHRIS AND THE BOYS PLAY SAN ANTONIO ON NOV 29TH. I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO SEE CHRIS PLAY BUT HAVE NEVER HAD THE CHANCE. WELL I HAVE THE CHANCE THIS YEAR ON MY 33RD BIRTHDAY AND I CAN NOT WAIT!!! HE IS BY FAR THE GREATEST IF YOU ASK ME!!
qris10220om 08/27/2000
from UM to Golden States to DC to Sactown, he's da man over there!
Munson 08/03/2000
Webber got a bad rap earlier in his career for being a bad guy. From his dispute with Don Nelson (which Nelson says that he regrets) to his problems in DC, he had become a symbol of what was wrong with the NBA. Then, came his trade to Sacramento and everyone thought that he would begin to pout and force them into another trade. Instead, Webber has finally turned into the player that everyone thought he would be...one of the best in the NBA. He plays hard, runs the floor, plays D, and has incredibly soft hands. He's a tremendous all-around player.
Wiggum 01/16/2000
Just went to see the Kings play the Golden State Warriors last night, and Webber put on a great 37 point, 16 rebound performance. I say "great," but Webber is getting to be such a force that those numbers are normal for him. And he makes it all look so easy.
dspr460om 11/24/1999
One of the best all-around players in the game. Too bad he's such a jerk.
magellan 11/02/1999
Super talented, and who knows, with a decent supporting cast in Sacramento, may even develop the will to win.
