04/10/2001 | Lenny Wilkins deserves thanks from anyone related to basketbal and the raptors, cause he really has his team getting somewhere other then the lowsy Butch Carter. Lenny Wilkins should be at the top of this list,I mean come on he's the winnigest coach ever!!!!!He gets through to his players, and is a gentleman, and rarely will you se him blow off the roof. he is ver y calm and he knows the game of basketball. also he was a great player when he was younger, and it really does help to have a coach that has had experiences in the nba himself. I want to say thanks Lenny, and by the way i love vince carter for helping the team out, but the coach was the most trmeendous impact in the change of the toronto raptors record! thatnks for coming ot toronto, we love you!

06/26/2000 | The anti Butch Carter. Wilkens is mature, selfless, and professional. If I were Vince Carter or Tracy Mcgrady, I would be thanking my lucky stars to get the opportunity to play under such a teacher of the game. The Raptors could not have made a better choice.

06/26/2000 | I'm not generally a fan of "re-tread" coaches being hired again somewhere else, but Wilkins is the exception. He is the perfect fit for the Raptors. His record speaks for itself and the fact that he didn't get along with JR Rider should count in his favor. He should have no trouble relating with the players, both young and old. His first order of business will be to recruit Tracy McGrady and try to convince to re-sign with the Raptors.
