As an Indians fan, I will never forget being at the 1997 All Star game at Jacobs Field when Sandy Alomar, Jr. hit the homer and became the only player ever to be named All Star MVP on his own home field. Sandy was always friendly to the fans and we really liked him in Cleveland. It was time to say goodbye to him as a player but he will always have a place in the hearts of most Clevelanders.
