Left the Braves for more money so, I dislike him for that act but he is having a great year for the Mets and I consider him one of the best pitchers in our generation.

Will never be as good as Greg Maddux, and is having a terrible year so far. He likes to stay on the outside of the plate, and said in an interview that he will not ever try to hit hitters. I think that was stupid because that gives hitters more confidence that you are 100% not going to try to hit them. I don't think he will go to the hall of fame.

the Braves shouild have let Maddux go. Glavine came up through that organization and the winning staff started with Tom(before GM had left the Cubs)

This guy deserves to be ranked higher than 31. Come on people!!! Glavine is one of the greatest pitchers on the braves. He's just awesome.

Glavine has been a model of consistency for the Braves over the last ten or so years. He is not overpowering, but is always around the plate and is a great athlete (he was selected in the 4th round of the NHL draft). He is also a clubhouse leader who took a lot of heat for his strong union involvement during the strike. Even during that time, he never became embittered with the way the fans treated him or the media protrayed him. It was great that he was the starting and winning pitcher in the deciding game of the lone Braves World Series victory.
