Vlad is a hit machine with a cannon for an arm. He is the personification of consistent, hitting below .300 only once in his career - his 1996 rookie season, in which he played only 9 games. As for productivity, in 8 of the 9 seasons in which he's played more than 100 games, he's topped 100 RBI.

Few, if any, players are as exciting to watch as this guy, who is easily one of my favorites. Can do almost everything, he doesn't walk all that much, but his excellence in every other aspect is astounding. It's too bad for him that most of the guys around him on The Angels aren't too hot with the bats, if he had more protection around him he'd put up even more frightening numbers. Great arm, reminds me overall as a player of Dave Parker in his prime. No team is a one man show, but this one comes kind of close, as the Angels have a lineup of slap hitters, youngsters, and guys like Anderson and Erstad who've already peaked. Future Hall of Famer.

Arguably, the best player in baseball. The man can flat out hit.

Love this guy. So aggressive at the plate swings at everything and makes contact and puts the ball in play. On defense he's got speed and on of the best arms in the game. Truly on of the great of the game and is always inproving.

The best all around player in the majors. The guy is a hitting machine !

another one of the great complete ballplayers. his offensive statistics are astronomical for his age.

Possibly the best player in baseball (that's not on roids). He parks the ball every 16 plate aps, and can cover the plate better than ANYONE in the game. (.325 career avg) and stikes out maybe once a game.

Vlad Guerrero is ridiculous. He was definitely the best player in the AL this year, and rightly won the MVP. I don't expect it will be his last one either.

He is the man. He can hit balls off of his shoe tops for HR's. He can reach the ball 4 inches off the plate. Hardly ever strikes out or walks, great contact. Gun for an arm in the outfield.

Vlad Guerrero is the best all around player in baseball and he is proving it now in Anaheim. He has the combination of both speed and power, hits for average and does not strike out. He's got a cannon of an arm and doesn't miss games...He is a carbon copy of the great Roberto Clemente but with power! A Perfect 5!!

A 5-tool superstar master. A team that has sucked for years could trade him to a team thats loaded, meaning his numbers are better. Ichiro and Clemente's arms are really the only one's that compare to his cannon.

98% of players rated higher than Vlady are a contruct of the media and not their talent. Guerraro is one of the best players in baseball and he's still in his early 20's.

Anyone who doesn't give Vlad, the best player in the game today a 5 simply doesn't know the game of baseball. If he played in Boston or New York he would be number 1 on this list. Ask any NL pitcher who they fear the most, and 90% will say Vlad Guerrero, you simply can' pitch to the guy. Not to mention he has the best arm in the game, and plays outstanding defense.

VERY, VERY, VERY UNDERATED

Guerrero is truly a special player. In relative anonymity with the Expos, he is arguably the best all around player in the game. Not only is he a great hitter (and not just a power hitter, he hits for a high average and doesn't strike out often), but he is a superb fielder with a tremendous arm. He barely speaks any English and while that is not a problem in French-speaking Montreal, it has kept him from achieving greater fame. But, that doesn't seem to both Guerrero who only wants to play baseball. I know people mention Junior and ARod and Pudge, but if I was starting a team, I think I would begin with this guy.

He is a great player. Exellent fielder and hitter. But he is playing for the wrong team (A team that does not even belong in baseball).

Terrific young player - he is going to be a great one - I predict the hall of fame for Vladi.

Vladimir would be much more of a household name if A) he played in a market which cared anything about Baseball, B) he spoke English. Fortunately neither of these attributes are necessary to be a hell of a ballplayer. And he is.
