Can't give him a five due to the steriod thing, but he is good. I love watching him hit.

One of my favorite players on the Yankees. I'm often disappointed they put the overrated Tino Martinez loser in at 1st instead of Giambi. Sure Giambi isn't the greatest fielder in the world, but I've seen Tino make costly errors in the past week that I'm quite sure Giambi would not make. Plus Giambi has bat power well beyond Tino's capabilities. If the Yankees wanted a good fielding/good hitting 1st baseman as Giambi's backup, they should have kept Tony Clark!

He hasn't done much since leaving Oakland. When he was an Athletic, I thought he was destined for the Hall-of-Fame. Today he looks too stiff out there and uncomfortable in the Yankee clubhouse. He's a loner. And he hasn't lived up to his superstar billing. A change of scenery might do him good, you know?

He is one pumped up ball playing machine. Can you say BALCO? And now that we know he was a cheater, can't we say that the Yankees won the 2003 ALCS by cheating? Yes, I think we can!

Good slugger, but currently injured.

Giambi is just immense. Despite his recent illness he's been as consistent a hitter as anyone over the last decade. When he's healthy again I'm sure his big bat will be heard from loud and clear.

Just another stienbrenner puppet. You know he wishes he never left oakland.

Jason Giambi is a fine hitter, but overall he's the most overpaid, overrated Yankee. He is second class as a fielder, having problems turning the 3-6-3 double-play. He can't run the bases well. His best attribute is as a home run hitter.

best 1b in baseball

Jason is one of the best looking men I have seen in a long time. Those arms of his, it makes me see why pitchers fear him.

Yankees suck, so Jason sucks.

As a Yankee fan, I am saddened to see Tino Martinez go, but overjoyed to know that the Yankees will pick up one of the best players in the league in Jason Giambi. When Giambi comes up, he is feared by every pitcher. He is a left-handed hitter with astounding power and will flourish with the 314-foot fence in Yankee Stadium's right field. He doesn't only have power, he hits for average at an alarming rate and walks at a league-leading rate as well. His on-base percentage is one of the best in the AL. Overall, a top-notch player that any team would want. My only problem is that when the Yankees met Oakland in the playoffs, he seemed to not be the greatest fielder in the world, definitely not as good as Tino. I hope that will not be a negative factor in his game.

Jason Giambi is so cool. I was so glad that he got MVP. Everytime I see one of his interviews, they make me like him more and more.

Giambi is a true breath of fresh air. He looks like he should be a bad professional wrestler (tatoos and long hair), but instead is one of the best hitters in baseball and should probably win the AL MVP. He hits for both power and average and is a decent fielder at first base. I've also heard him on the Dan Patrick Radio Show and he is funny and comes across as a regular guy.

A definite contender for MVP. He's a very exciting player and gets the job done.
